We threw our TV away years ago.Sounds like a good plan to me. IANAL(ibertarian), but in this case I'd be perfectly willing to go all the way and say we should completely deregulate and de-censor television and allow the most perverted junk imaginable during all hours of the day. Then people might actually stop allowing their kids to watch the d___d thing, and then things might actually start to improve in this country.

Do you really believe 'the most perverted junk possible' would draw an audience that is attractive to sponsors? They want stable people with jobs, money and families to spend their money on. You are under-estimating the audience (as hard as that may be to do).

I've always said that TV is the one thing I'd uninvent if given the 'power' to do so.
It's a mind control device. And not for the reasons the sexual puritans think, either.
