Already Convicted, Jose Canseco Arrested Again

Former Major League Baseball player Jose Canseco, already under house arrest, has been arrested again.

Canseco was arrested Friday at his home at 10131 N. Lake Vista Circle in Davie for a probation violation, according to the Davie police.

Officers said that Canseco, 39, tested positive for steroids, a violation of the terms of his probation.

In November 2002, Canseco was sentenced to two years of house arrest and three years probation for his involvement in a nightclub brawl.

Canseco reportedly used a "controlled substance" on or about June 3.

This is Canseco's second probation violation arrest. He was arrested in March for violating his probation by failing to begin his community service and his anger management classes.

In March, Circuit Judge Leonard E. Glick ordered Canseco released on the probation violation charge but warned him that any future violation would result in a 15-year prison sentence.

Canseco was booked at the Davie substation Friday and will be transferred to the main Broward County Jail.

Are 'roids addicting? Otherwise, I have't seen Jose in any SportsCenter highlights lately, or even associated with any team for that matter. Is there another reason he would voluntarily want to keep shrinking his nads?
