"Living History" could become the best-selling nonfiction book ever. Who says liberals don't buy books? Hmmmm. Looks like Ann's book, Treason, is already thumping Hillary and it has not even shipped yet!
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Book 5) by J. K. Rowling, Mary GrandPré (Illustrator)
- East of Eden (Oprah's Book Club) by John Steinbeck
- Treason by Ann Coulter
- Living History by Hillary Clinton (Author)

Why? Not because there's no liberal talent out there, but because the existing networks won't hire them. Bill Press proves once again that he doesn't understand the fre market..or maybe that he understands too well that his side is unable to compete in the fee market.
I predict that liberal talk radio will have to rely on massive and continuing subsidies from rich liberal donors in order to stay alive.

They could name it "The Propaganda Television Network" and feature old newsreels of speaches by Josef Goebbels.

The former vice president is rounding up venture capitalistsHe may be pitching them, but I doubt he'll have much luck getting them to pony up money. Venture capitalists need to make high returns on their investments, and I sincerely doubt that a liberal network will provide that.
Gore may succeed in raising enough money to get this venture off the ground, but it won't come from venture capitalists acting professionally.
It may come from a lot of rich and influential liberals who are willing to take losses in hopes of reviving their moribund electoral hopes.
But if a liberal network proves to be a money maker, then I will bite the bullet and read both "It Takes a Village" and Hillary's ghost-written bio.

Dr. Neal Clark Warren of e-Harmony.com can do the ads. He and Al sound a lot alike to me. Kinda creeps me out.

How to explain the astounding success of Michael Moore, whose liberal blockbuster "Stupid White Men" hit No. 1 on Amazon.com within days of publication and remained on the New York Times bestseller list for over a year? I'll explain it. The number of people who read books is low -- too low to make any real conclusion about the significance of "best-sellers." Just because Michael Moore's book, or Hillary's book, ranks #1 for a time, it doesn't mean that this reflects the sentiment of the vast populace. Book buying is not voting. The Amazon top ten list is not the Gallup poll. Rush's first book was #1 for months, and the book that replaced it at #1? -- Howard Stern's autobiography. What does this prove? Was America conservative during the time that Rush's book reigned, and then suddenly turned hedonistic when Stern's book hit #1? Trying to come to a conclusion about such things, as Bill Press tries to, is ludicrous. Hillary's book ranked high earlier this week. As of late yesterday, Ann Coulter's new book on leftist treason shot ahead of Hillary's book.
One can prove anything, or prove nothing, by "best seller" lists.

But if a liberal network proves to be a money maker, then I will bite the bullet and read both "It Takes a Village" and Hillary's ghost-written bio. Both of Hillary's books were ghost-written, which indicates that the liberals' most "creative minds" need help -- they aren't that creative. A liberal talk-show network would be bereft of new ideas. They would degenerate into hate speech and silliness, much like Democratic Underground.
The reason Al's little project will fail is that nobody wants to buy what the liberals are selling (at least not enough to make it in the free market). I don't think you have to worry about reading either of Hillary's books.

"Living History" could become the best-selling nonfiction book ever. These people are delusional. And what's sad, they'll never admit they were wrong. This is a sick society when someone like Bill Press (and he's not alone!) makes a career out of spinning lies.

"Check out the opinion pages of any newspaper. There are far more conservative columnists than liberal." Those on the left are the most shameless bald-faced liars on the planet. This one statement from Press exposes his other falsehoods as well.
I sincerely hope that this cable channel (call it a network is a mis-nomer) does indeed launch. Because it will fail miserably in attracting viewers - and thus sponsors willing to spend actual money.

" featuring progressive voices like Molly Ivins, Al Franken, Michael Moore and maybe even Phil Donahue." What a thrill this would be, if realized, for loonies like Molly and company. Progressive voices? Unhuh. More like they hear voices if you ask me.
