I think you're delusional. I believe that the candidate must have 1 year's residency to run. Neither Clinton, nor Gore would qualify -- unless Babs Streisand wants to sign an affidavit that Clinton's real residency in in one of her mansions in Malibou.

For a special recall election, a candidate in California must merely have residency (of any length so far as I know), pay $3,500, and submit 65 valid California voter signatures.
Is it delusional to think that Clinton or Gore can't get 65 signatures or $3,500 in California?!
Or is it pure Grade A *denial* to think that the Democrats are simply going to hand over their last political prize (the California governorship is the last political position of any note that Democrats have, after all)?!
