We cant outlaw stupidity

No, but we can protect ourselves from the stupidity of others.

This is a gem:

Note:  It appears that a U.S. citizen is different and distinct from a citizen of the United States.  I still have no authoritative citation on whether a citizen of the United States is the same as a Citizen of the United States of America.  Until I see otherwise, I am proceeding along the lines that I am neither a U.S. citizen nor a citizen of the United States.  Rather I am a Citizen of the states United.

Further down, it refers to his wife as "Cindy."  Unless "Cindy" is a nickname for "Catherine," it looks like he's a serial matrimonialist (if he believes in marriage, that is).

If he only "subscribes" to the Old Testament (and man's law - he's already cited Deuteronomy; i.e., part of the Levitical laws) and not the new, then there is no problem for him.

What possibly could be so important that this woman was willing to risk her baby's life, her own life, and the life of all others on the road with her? She had options ---pull over to the side of the road, cancel her all-important trip, take a bus or fly. Risking everyones' lives for your own empty purposes is not acting without malice.

In one circumstance, the likelihood of harm, and the likely severity of such harm, is MUCH higher than the other. There comes a point when one's stupidity reaches the point of malice.

As I pointed out earlier (Or was that another thread on the same topic?) Shall we make IQ a punishable offense? what about skin color? religion? Political thought? or thought in general?

Malice is Intent..intent to harm.

This thread really saddens me -- that someone so obviously booksmart uses those smarts in such a prideful way to skirt the law while sporting a grin.

On top of that, not paying taxes and driving without a license while quoting "religious reasons" is such an affront to all that is decent and proper.

This thread has the makings of an all-time FR classic. Please take the time to read the entire thread. The husband of the woman pictured in the article joins us just before post number 50.

The conversation is priceless!

I thought that, too, until I remembered that he quoted the Dordrecht Confession, which adheres to Christian principles (including the paying of taxes -- Article 13). He's really just a separatist in disguise.

I guess we shouldn't be paying taxes either -- we want our liberties!

Just think all of us are paying taxes for this nutcase!

Ah. Hadn't considered that one.

Fair enough.

Malice is Intent..intent to harm.

Malice and/or intent is not a requirement for a crime to occur. One example is involuntary manslaughter.

No argument, but I was pointing to a law designed to protect the rest of us from the "stupid" (in this case fiscally).
