David Greenglass: Twice a Traitor
On June 19, 1953, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were executed for passing secrets of the atomic bomb to the Soviet Union. In their trial, the primary witness against Ethel was her brother, David Greenglass. Greenglass was also convicted of spying and sentenced to prison, but he was released in 1960. Now, he's finally telling his side of the story.
This is David Greenglass's extraordinary story, including the shocking revelation that he lied on the stand and sent his own sister to the electric chair! TV G

Great find by the way.

Well, hmmm, she might have known....but she didn't type up the "notes". Which was what I believe she was charged with.
She might not have known how far in Julius, etc was giving secrets to the Soviets.

I'm sure Ethyl knew nothing of the activities of her husband, brother, and sister in law and certainly would never approve. Hillary knew nothing of WJC's activities
Sosa didn't know he was using a corked bat.

I saw a show on The History Channel a few years ago called The Boy Who Gave The Russians The Secret To The Bomb, or something like that. Anyway, it was the story of Theodore Hall. If I remember he lived to a ripe old age in England. I cant remember why we didnt burn him, or put him away like the other traitors.

According to PBS, Ruth and David Greenglass are still together living elsewhere under an assumed name.
Also it was Julius who did the recruiting.

If she was innocent, her husband could have saved her.He betrayed his country and his family.Nice family values all round. Her brother betrayed his country and sister.

I'm sure Ethyl knew nothing of the activities of her husband, brother, and sister in law and certainly would never approve. Lol!...
Ethel's mother was furious at her. She screamed that Ethel was killing her, killing her brother and to just tell the government what it wanted to know.
I_Love_My_Husband...History Channel last night said the Feds went back to Ruth Greenglass a few weeks before the trial and asked if there was anything else she knew. She said Ethel was typing out Julius' notes to give to the Soviets. Greenglass said when the Feds told his this he replied..."If she said it, it happened." He claims now he never saw his sister type the notes. But he testified he did.

Exactly my sentiments.
Her husband could have saved her! What a schmuck! In more ways than one!
It really DOES matter who you marry. Sheesh. Marrying a bad person can kill you.

Just like DPB101 who provides is with these great posts even though he is younger, I am fifty six my parents were born in 1903, and 1904, and they were also anti-communist Democrats.
We are from Texas, and in the fifties there was not much of a Republican party after you got past Tower, and Bush 41 didnt come along until later, so I'm pretty sure they voted democrat in congressional, and state elections during the fifties. They did vote Republican in presidential elections from Ike on. They liked Truman, but thought Stevenson was weak, and figured out the Kennedys because they knew about old man Joe. It had nothing to do with their being Catholics. Everybody in Texas knew LBJ was a crook, McGovern didnt even rate a comment and they called Carter Peanut.
The fact of the matter is The Democratic party in Texas was pretty conservative in those days, and they had a stranglehold on Texas because of The Depression, and people didn't think about the damage FDR was doing, and the fact that it was WWII that got us out of things. FDR got the credit. The Dems were just about the only game in town.

It is shocking to see this about Ethel Rosenberg. It's hard to understand how this could happen.

The Rosenbergs deserved every volt that went through their body. The "anti-fascist" argument is an old liberal lie.
Anybody who rallied to support them should have been deported as well.
I knew people who knew the Rosenbergs, they were ardent Communists who did what they did out of "social conscience." They were enemies of the United States who died a traitor's death.

I watched the History channel show last night. Greenglass spoke about how once the Soviets knew that the Feds were onto the espionage, they offered all of them a ticket to either Russia or China.
David Greenglass, admitted communist, said, "Why would we want to go to those "hellholes"?
I thought they worshipped communism.

They sure screwed their kids up for life. Both of them are involved with the ANSWER and FREE MUMIA crowd.
