BOOK, DEFENSE OF MCCARTHY SET FOR RELEASE DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX THU JUNE 19, 2003 13:25:58 ET
**Exclusive**
Last summer's bestselling non-fiction author is planning a fresh assault on the charts with an explosive defense of Joe McCarthy, and other historical reviews, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
You may never look at controversialist Ann Coulter the same way again -- after TREASON: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism.
MORE
CROWN signed Coulter to a seven-figure advance for the book, set for release next week.
And now publishing insiders are convinced Coulter has what it will takes to dethrone Hillary Clinton in a direct challange on the charts!
MORE
"The myth of 'McCarthyism' is the greatest Orwellian fraud of our times," Coulter writes. "Liberals are fanatical liars, then as now. Everything you think you know about McCarthy is a hegemonic lie."
"Liberals denounced McCarthy because they were afraid of getting caught, so they fought back like animals...
"McCarthy was not tilting at windmills. Soviet spies in the government were not a figment of right-wing imaginations. He was tilting at an authentic Communist conspiracy that had been laughed off by the Democratic Party. "
Coulter is set to go radioactive and declare TREASON on GOOD MORNING AMERICA next Tuesday, according to network sources.

"I love the ability to google and learn or relearn history!I even read the left leaning material to see how they present their version.I'm thrilled Coulter is writing about this." I'd be even more thrilled if she was writing about Bill Clinton's treasonist dealings with the Chinese.

Thank you for posting that: It's time people understand that JFK and Bobby Kennedy stood with McCarthy...
During a speech in Milwaukee in 1952, Senator McCarthy dated the public phase of his fight against communists to May 22, 1949, the night that former Secretary of Defense James Forrestal was found dead on the ground outside Bethesda Naval Hospital. "The communists hounded Forrestal to his death," said McCarthy. "They killed him just as definitely as if they had thrown him from that sixteenth-story window in Bethesda Naval Hospital." McCarthy said that "while I am not a sentimental man, I was touched deeply and left numb by the news of Forrestal's murder. But I was affected much more deeply when I heard of the communist celebration when they heard of Forrestal's murder. On that night, I dedicated part of this fight to Jim Forrestal."

Joe McCarthy was receptive in the fall of 1949 when three men brought to his office a 100-page FBI report alleging extensive communist penetration of the State Department. The trio had asked three other senators to awaken the American people to this dangerous situation, but only McCarthy was willing to take on this volatile project.

Any bets on when Ann's book passes HRC's? It has - it is #3 on amazon, h's is #4.
While Savage is fighting over his contract, Mark Levin has been doing the 7-9 slot on WABC. He just had a caller on who announced that on the air.

Perhaps you should acknowledge that your recollection was wrong. That was the House Un-American Activities Committee - HUAC.

It's about time somebody wrote a book exposing the left's BIG LIE about McCarthy!
William F. Buckley wrote a more tepid defense a few years ago, but I think hardly anybody read it. Might have something to do with Buckley's overwrought prose.
GO ANN!

McCarthy was godfather to Bobby's first child. That would be Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, who recently lost the race for Maryland governor to the Republican Bob Ehrlich.
Kathleen has recently taken a job with a non-profit that is trying to reduce "bullying" in our schools.
Isn't it interesting that none of the Kennedy's ever take a job in the real world?

Perhaps you should go back and read post #108 (addressed to you) where I did.

post #122 is important information to know about McCarthy.

And I expect that the figures for Ann's book will be legitimate. She doesn't have a bought press out padding the numbers for political gain.

I just placed my order as a birthday gift to my 81 year-old Dad - who long ago retired from a certain "Company" in Langley, Virginia - when that idiot Carter determined that "nice nations don't read each other's mail". (Right Jimmy, they instead photograph thoughts and intentions from space, ya pinhead).
I wanted to let my Dad know that younger generations are coming to realize that the threat was real in the 50's, and has metastasized into today's faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaashionable progressives. He lives in Reston, and is surrounded by these hypocritical vermin, which doesn't do his blood pressure any good.
Anyway, it is good that he can finally see that his lifelong struggle against brutal Marxism as practiced overseas, and its fancy-schmancy counterpart here in the US, has not been for nought.

"The more the left attacks her, the more ferocious her counter attacks become." I sure wish our president and congress people would adopt this approach. That's when we could expect to see some real positive change. The RATs, for all their hollering and moaning, are shooting intellectual blanks. Our guns are loaded.

"John Kennedy called McCarthy a "great American patriot." In 1953 Bobby Kennedy joined McCarthy's staff and McCarthy was godfather to Bobby's first child. Bobby was always loyal to Joe." Funny how the left neglects to ever mention, or even notice, such facts. But then, of course, facts are not their strong suit. I think their real fear of "McCarthyism" is that the socialist/communist RATs in Congress and their agenda would be exposed. If that happened on too large a scale, no amount of voter fraud would be likely to save them from their constituents, except, perhaps, in those districts where their constituents are too ignorant to understand that it's a problem or are too firmly attached to that agenda themselves.
