[history]
Let's talk about the upside first: The computer-generated Hulk is indeed very realistic and convincing. In fact, all the special effects are good, very subtle and artfully done. There's rarely a time when the computer side of this movie doesn't pay off.

The same idiot mentality that stuck a wet T-shirt scene in the middle of Spiderman.
My daughter (5 years old) loves that movie, but I can't let her watch it unless I sit right there to cover her eyes for the one lousy scene. Sheesh!

Connelly may have decided to start looking like a heroin addict for Requiem for a Dream where she played, well, a heroin addict. Frankly, I can't stop thinking of her as the little girl in Labrynth which makes a certain scene in Requiem all the more disturbing...
To: RMDupree
It's none of my business but is it harmful for little girl to see a woman in a wet tshirt? They are the same gender.

(SPIDERMAN SPOILER ALERT)
You cover a girl's eyes for the wet-T-shirt scene, but leave them open for the eviscerating-Green-Goblin scene?
(Don't read in heavy dripping judgment here, just surprise.)
I'm the reverse; it's probably mostly the latter that keeps it from regular rotation in our house.

It made $900 million but was still boring.
Matrix will make more money and is a far superior movie to Spiderman on many levels, especially the effects.

Hey, if Kirsten Dunst in a wet t-shirt isn't proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy, then what is? =D

It's not the boobies themselves that bother me. After all, I have a set of them myself! ;)
It's the gratuitousness of it that irks me. It was just stuck in there for the sake of a wet T-shirt scene and nothing else.
I know you guys enjoy it though. :)

Nope, no payment here. I just read a thread about the film yesterday and thought this one might be applicable.

In fairness, the Hulk really can't be done justice as a character that appeals heavily to 5 year olds. In time, he will come to appreciate the film(if he will ever like it) as many Star Wars fans came to appreciate Star Wars even MORE as they got older(I was only 7 when Jedi came out.) Even though I was young, I basically understood and empathized with Luke and even Vader.
We are all different, but it's possible your son might find something to enjoy about the film though many levels might escape him. Heck, at first I thought Vader's hand/glove had actually replaced Luke's in Jedi! Kids and magical thinking, I swear.

Wow, yu're rite, if that's a good photo of her she definitely ruined her looks. She's not the only one either, can't figure it out. Don't they have mirrors in Hollywood?

Actually, this is one critic and he didn't say it was bad.
Despite all these tales of bad reviews, I've yet to encounter a major reviewer giving it a poor grade, but I think we'll have to wait until more come in.
Most importantly, it is what YOU think.
I love Unbreakable but every time I bring it up people tell me "that was awful." I think they are idiot-philistines who understand neither art nor the themes in comics, but it doesn't really matter, does it?

The same idiot mentality that stuck a wet T-shirt scene in the middle of Spiderman. I would refer to that as genius mentality. Sam Raimi #1.
To: Skywalk
Hey, I just bought the DVD for Big Trouble in Little China, so my tastes are way off from mainstream, it would appear. I'll probably love the movie.
I like all Unbreakable, as well. M. Night Shammy is a great writer/director. I love his work.

Do you ever take
your daughter shopping? The last
time I walked the mall,
between low-cut shirts
and low-rise jeans, local girls
were showing off more
than Spiderman saw...
Your daughter probably thinks
that stuff is nonsense...

anyone else wonder if news stories are for sale to the right people?
I think this is all
a big, fat, hairy-assed LIE.
Now think about this:
Millions of people
never would have heard of this
name changing business
if Spike hadn't sued.
Now, the network's getting TONS
of publicity
and even people
who don't get cable know it.
I believe lawsuits
are being used as
advertising gimmicks in
many media
driven cases. (Like
the whole Winona Ryder-
Saks Fifth Avenue
sequence of events.)
I think these are planned-out ways
of just getting press...
