Idaho Gov. Dirk Kempthorne (R), whose views on the environment have drawn fire from advocacy groups, is the leading candidate to become the new administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, senior Republican officials said yesterday.

Kempthorne spokesman Mark Snider confirmed that the second-term governor and former U.S. senator met with White House officials June 11 and discussed "his perspective on the EPA as a governor and former senator," among other issues.

Kempthorne is a good guy. He was the Mayor here in Boise, then Senator, now Governor. Very conservative and trustworthy

Similarly DINO means Democrat in name only, but it is used less.

Hang around and eventually you will see it means everyone else in the Republican Party but a few that like to think they are the true party. Since the RINOs are the bulk of the party it's my contention they are the Party and the others are the true RINOs since they are the smaller number. In short, the many that are called RINOs are everyone but the far right wingers, imo. /rant.
