On Dennis Prager a seminar caller to guest host David Horowitz revealed a new Democrat propaganda talking point.
He called in to disagree with Horowitz on the recall -- despite Horowitz not saying he was against it.
The talking point he spewed was about the budget deficit. Here was the crux of it:
It was all a conspiracy between Ken Lay and his good friend George Bush. CA had a good economy when Davis took over and Bush and Lay purposely destroyed it via energy scams
OK, ludicrous. But, this will be spewed by the left and the like as part of Davis' defense and general smear of Republicans. This will be one theme along with Issa being a master criminal.
Earlier thread about Dem strategy is here, Davis supporters don't discuss him which outlines the smear Issa strategy.
Infprmation on Clinton and Ken Lay and their very close relationship is here, Clinton Enron Nexus Clinton Administration Procured Credit for Enron, Used CIA as Resource for Enron

It is a win win for us. If by some strange coincidence Red Davis or another dimwit gets elected he/she will have to continue with their tax and fees increases which is a losing proposition. The only concern is can the state financially survive a dimwit in office three more years? Now if someone like Tom McClintok gets elected then we stand a chance of cutting the budget and not raising taxes. Which is the only solution for the state's economic and financial resuscitation. DUMP DAVIS!

I wouldn't think so, but if that ballot is invalidated so much the better!

Whoops I screwed that up! Question 2 should be:
50% + must answer question 1 with YES before Question 2 becomes applicable!

It was the real one, I had heard about the tricks earlier and looked at it. At that venue I was really suspicious. He was getting the weirdest comments and reasons from people signing too. Felt kinda sorry for him actually. People talk about the vast right wing conspiracy....the left wing is about the scariest bunch of illogical thinkers ever.

Now that I find surprising!
That the leftists are signing the recall Davis petition says to me that Davis is a goner!
Maybe he is not far enough left to suit them!

Not far enough left was definitely the impression I got. There were several normal looking folks that probably pay taxes signing too.

The recall with all practical purposes is a done deal. We should hit the 900K mark this week. Now the hard part begins. Getting just one and only one conservative candidate to run so as not to split up the vote to allow another dimwit to get elected.

Here's another problem... the Rats can also get a million signatures and recall whomever replaces Davis. Possible, but not probable.....not to say they won't file for it on day 2. But, all the arguments they are using right now about it being sour grapes and undoing the election and wasting $30 million can be turned against them.

"Mulholland has already said Issa burned down his business for insurance." Well that is certainly grounds for a lawsuit. Mulholland had better have some facts to back up such remarks.

Can you answer this, please...after the petitions get certified, and polling shows that Gray is toast..what's to prevent the Dems from inducing Davis to resign...that makes Bustamonte the governor, and the recall is moot...it goes away...

Good question. I don't know. But I'm sure we can find out. Maybe we'll get to do it all over again and again and again until allllll the dimwits are gone! LOL

Because Davis' ego is way too big. His ego was on full display this weekend in all the press about the recall (sour grapes, rich losers, hasn't lost a statewide race yet etc) and the other Dem Constitutionals would not stand for the annointing of Cruz and have to run against him as an incumbent in '06. I think if the recall qualifies, it doesn't go away, Cruz has to call the election regardless if Davis bails out.
To: Ernest_at_the_Beach
Say Ernest, do you know the answer to the question about what happens if Red Davis resigns before the recall election???

Disagree...look..they'll do a poll after the petitions are certified....it'll show Davis going down big time..and that would force a Dem to put his name up..so Davis will be persuaded to bow out gracefully..and promised a sweetheart promotion to some high paying public sinecure if he resigns...and he avoids the ignominy of being recalled....and once he's NOT governor..it's moot..

Interesting. I heard the same thing yesterday afternoon on Larry Elder's show. It was absurd.

... revealed a new Democrat propaganda talking point.
All the DNC needs to do is revamp the old anti-Semitic rants of old: "The Republicans are poisoning the wells of Christians, and eating their babies!" and many of the DNC True Believers would nod in agreement.
To: kellynla
That possibility has been discussed on several threads but I don't remember seeing a definitive answer!
