This is, I think a followup on last weeks piece. Nice interview with someone who is leaving California because of all the hoo ha going on there.

I moved from North Hollywood, Calif in 1971. So glad I left that God Forsaken area. The only problem is now the (other) Californians are moving to where I now live. Then they want to change the laws to what they left.

For decades now California's proponents have crowed about its stature as the worlds fifth largest economy a status achieved largely under Republican governors Reagan, Deukmejian and Wilson. LOL! More BS, as the state was rated 5th largest up from 6th largest just about two years ago.

Well, from the perspective of an LA native (former valley boy), I am never going back to California. I recently moved from Mission Viejo to eastern Washington and I totally love it.
The only thing California has going for it is good jobs that pay big bucks. However once you realize that housing costs and state taxes take the lion share of your big salary whats the point? Quality of life? Give me a break, I have three ski areas within an hours drive, outstanding and inexpensive golf courses everywhere, clean water and air, no crime that would ever make KTLA news.
From my California perspective its nice to live in a half million dollar house that only cost me 125K. Its nice for a change not living for a mortgage and having extra cash to actually live.
Just one draw back, I doubt my son will ever be able to find a good career here. I will probably have to send him off to California. LOL

This is one of the reasons I like the Bay Area...

Cities are being overrun with illegals - entire villages are being transplanted, bit-by-bit, family-by-family, from Mexico into the Los Angeles environs. Some of those in other states do not realize how true this statement is. 95% of the politicians, state and federal, are encouraging it, and think it is our responsibility to pay for it while we watch our state look more and more like a third world country.

How about that new public funding for sex changes for criminals in prison? That passed last month, no joke!

"Traumatic? I feel it is traumatic to stay here. There is no future in a place that runs itself like a pyramid scheme. Sooner or later there just won't be enough people working to support those that won't. Already society is starting to crumble."Wow.

May I suggest you send this to the ping list?
Incredible story here. And very, very depressing for anybody who still has hope for the hopeless situation that is California (RIP). (Think "Zimbabwe". And flee like the wind.)

The Democrats want a Sweden on the Pacific. FTI (For Their Information) Sweden is a country in Scandinavia with about 10 million people - a third of the size of California and blessed with natural resources and a hard working population. The Swedes have made the welfare state work since they are willing and able to foot the bill for it. In contrast California has nearly 40 million people and no viable resource other than big government and the people willing to support it keep leaving. There is no way as that trend feeds on itself can California support a viable welfare state. No one wants to pay the taxes required to make it a reality. Sooner or later California is headed for a crash and the liberals here are living in a state of denial.
