On a more serious note...

I have been interested in astronomy since I was a very small child. I noticed long ago that many star names were Arabic in origin. During Europe's last Dark Age (as opposed to now), Western science was at a low ebb. However, in the Arab world, sciences were being developed or advanced. Think "algebra" or "algorithm"; Betelgeuse (Ibt-al-Jauza) or Ras Elased or Deneb. All are Arabic in origin. We adopted these names and terms and use them to this day.

Yes, the Muslim world CAN be a contributing member of society. But first they MUST shed the self-image of victim, and root out corruption within. Or they will self-immolate.

It's amusing to me when I hear how Islam "brought math and science to the world". As a lover of astrology you should be aware that Saint Augustine, (354 - 430 AD -), accurately predicted solar and lunar eclipes right through the 20th century. The ancient Egyptians, (Africans), who were thriving two thousand years before Islam conquered and infested their culture, were already practicing advanced mathematics and medicine, as well as astrology. To this day scientists cannot figure out exactly how the great Pyramids were constructed. I have no doubt that the Muslims of medieval times, who conquered about 65% of all Christian lands, (North Africa, middle east, Byzantium, Spain, Balkans, etc), learned from those they conquered.

What! Islam gained all it's knowledge from the lands it raped and pillaged. Their algebra, etc. was/is from India. They never developed or invented anything. Yesh!
