President Bush continued his long weekend in Kennebunkport, Maine today, and celebrated Father's Day with his family. Bush made a brief appearance for reporters, and stated that he still believed there is hope for peace in the Mideast, but that the free world 'must deal harshly with Hamas and the killers.' Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Kids don't feel the temps like we do. I can remember swimming all day no matter what the weather when I was a kid. Can't even get into a pool now, unless the water is at least 75 degrees and even then it takes awhile. BRRRRR!
It was quite warm here yesterday. At the height of the day, I briefly considered grumping about the heat and swiftly decided not to, did not want to risk a return to the AWFUL misty cold we've been suffering through.

We've been buying strawberries and cutting them up, sprinkling them with Splenda and serving them with my low-carb pudding (mousse) and whipped cream, very yummy. When our berries ripen, they will only be enough for maybe one night's dessert. We only have a few plants. In a few more weeks, we'll also have a bumper crop of Black Raspberries.
Thanks for the welcome to the day shift! I know many dosers make a repeat visit in the day time, as I have, but it will still be kind of strange not to be on the LIVE version!

MJY, What a NIGHTMARE!!!
I'm just so glad you escaped unharmed. So sorry about the repairs to your car! NO, it wasn't a good day...to say the least...
If misery loves company and it makes you feel any better, yesterday (Father's Day) my daughter called me in tears. A guy hit her from behind while she was waiting to turn left at an intersection. Before she could do anything, he sped off. She wasn't hurt, and the car received only scratches, no dents, but it shook her up a good bit.
So grateful you weren't hurt. It could have been SO much worse....

I've been making a lo-cal blender fruit smoothie with strawberries & blueberries. Now those raspberries would just be heaven.

Well, I'm going to be out of town A LOT this summer, including most of the last week in June, and the first two weeks in July (2 separate places).
How's this week look? (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday)
Unfortunately, I've got a NASTY cold. However, I should feel better by Wednesday, June 18 -- how does this work with your schedule?!

It was a friend of the family, I think...
Tourist traffic was unreal..
I wanted to park in the village and take some pictures there for you guys, not a parking place to be had!

Thanks Cordova!
The front of my shins hurt from running around in Kennebunkport..
It's very hilly there..
Mr.B and I are doing better, and I thank you so much for your concern, as does he!
