Since that meeting, renewed violence - capped by a bus bombing by Hamas and a string of Israeli helicopter raids with rocket aimed at Hamas leaders - has killed
63 people, mainly civilians on both sides.
Here we they go again equating what Israel has done to what terrorists have done. Here are some points that reveal what a crock that is.
1. Israel targets the perpetrators and supporters of terrorism. The terrorist target civilians, mainly women and children. See why I say this, just below.
a. The buses are full of school kids
b. The malls, markets and coffee shops are full of mostly women and children
c. When snipers take people out, it's most often women and children in their sights
2. When there is peace for several weeks, the Israelis are not the ones who strike. Cycles of violence are 'always' started by terrorists, in every instance!
For decades we have watched silently as reporters compare Israel's actions to the terrorists, as if they are the same. They ARE NOT THE SAME.
Now check this out.
The United States is trying to bolster the ability of Mahmoud Abbas, the new prime minister of the Palestinian Authority, to deal with the terrorists, but the recent
wave of violence has prompted questions whether he can truly check terrorism. That has led to discussion of whether the United States should send military aid to
the Palestinians.
Wait just a --- ------ mintute. Since when did we sign on to sending military aid ever? If we're talking about some assitance to their police force, I might be inclined to support it on a limited basis. Agreeing to send military aid is just tantamount to arming Israels enemies to the teeth, then training them how to be the most effective troops they can be.
Would we ever stand for someone doing something like this for our enemies?
Who comes up with this stuff? And I use that word stuff, under duress!
You are correct. I am sick and tired of this, and it is therefore why I have stopped making these comments.
That has led to discussion of whether the United States should send military aid to the Palestinians.
Already happening, courtesy CIA, and also lack of sanctions on the PA.
