I am certain that, were they motivated to do so, the media could produce results from Tehran right now. We got live pictures from Baghdad 24/7 during combat, I'm sure we could get the occasional still photo and commentary during a civil crisis. Iran isn't exactly wide open, but it ain't North Korea.

The media is asleep at the switch. They left it set on 'Peterson Murder' and slipped into a coma.
