The John Birch Society is currently pormoting a book entitled William F. Buckley: Pied Piper of the Establishment by John F. McManus, the organization's leader, which makes the claim that most of the original founders of National Review, including James Burnham, are ex-Trotskyists. However, McManus overlooks the fact that for several years in the 1960's, the John Birch Society published and distributed Burnham's 1954 book The Web of Subversion. I guess the Birch Society can also be tied to Trotskyism.
Oh, well, slava Trotskomu!
