Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- The Socialist Party of Mexico signed the Pyongyang declaration "Let us defend and advance the cause of socialism." Delegates to a meeting of the national preparatory committee of the 2nd congress of the party on May 25 deliberated on a report of its chairman about the fraternal relations between his party and the Workers' Party of Korea, the present world situation and achievements the Korean people made in socialist construction by embodying the Juche idea which was founded by President Kim Il Sung and is being developed and enriched by Kim Jong Il and adopted a political decision.
The decision quoted the full text of the Pyongyang declaration, saying the socialist party of Mexico signs it in reflection of the firm will to defend and advance the socialist cause.

When are we going to demand that something be done with our borders to keep those that wish to destroy us - out?!

You have to be pretty low to look up to Kim Jong Il.

It continues to amaze me that so many hundreds of millions of people worldwide are so ignorant of the failings of socialism and that it CANNOT work as a political or economic system. Socialism's death toll during the 20th century: over 100,000,000 human beings. Successful socialist economies of the 20th century: 0. Successful country conversion to a political socialist utopia in all of history: 0.
History doesn't seem to be very much in favor of socialism.
Oh wait...its all class envy.

I'll bet you the Socialist party in the good ole USA signed it also ( or would if they were invited ) ... so what ? Exactly, I've never even heard of the Socialist Party of Mexico. The CIA factbook shows these parties for Mexico:
Convergence for Democracy or CD [Dante DELGADO Ranauro]; Institutional Revolutionary Party or PRI [Dulce Maria SAURI Riancho]; Mexican Green Ecological Party or PVEM [Jorge Emilio GONZALEZ Martinez]; National Action Party or PAN [Luis Felipe BRAVO Mena]; Party of the Democratic Revolution or PRD [Amalia GARCIA Medina]; Party of the Nationalist Society or PSN [Gustavo RIOJAS Santana]; Social Alliance Party or PAS [Guillermo CALDERON Dominguez]; Workers Party or PT [Alberto ANAYA Gutierrez]
The top three are PRI, PAN, and PRD. Until I looked that up just now, those were also the only ones I'd heard of, although I knew there were more. PRD is a distanct third, PRI probably still has the greatest numbers. President Fox is PAN, the first non-PRI since the 1920s or so.

Doesn't matter, I don't consider any of those three countries our friends, period. Any nation that would encourage its citizens to invade another one illegally is engaging in a hostile act. In older times, that would have been a declaration of war.
Besides, socialism is what Mexico's government is, always has been, with or without whatever is going on here.

... almost funny ... as if Mexico's government ever really cared about their people ...
Mexico is more a form of Feudal system, where the "lords" allow just enough freedom to the peasant class to keep them from rebelling.

What is your point really? That Mexico is our friend? Call them what you like, feudal, socialist, it doesn't matter to me. Don't you understand my post, I don't consider the country our friend.
The Socialist party in Mexico doing what they're doing isn't much different than MEChA or La Raza wish to do here in the States. Their goals are the same. They may be a minority, but then again so are the terrorists in the Middle East.

Perhaps you could enlighten us as to just what the Socialist party of Mexico is doing ?( besides signing a declaration )
... at a quick search I can't find that they have done much of anything else

Before I "enlighten" you about the socialists the Mexican government is encouraging to illegally enter the US (and that's what I'm really talking about), many of whom join groups such as La Raza and the Aztlan movement, you need to answer my question my first... what is your point? Do you believe other than this insignificant socialist party of Mexico, they're truly close, dear friends of ours with whom we share "cultural and historical ties", or is it something else?
To: Reaganwuzthebest
My point was... and is ...that the Socialist party of Mexico is insignificat and should not really be used as a reason to scorn Mexico ( there are a lot of other reasons to do this in any case )
So please ... since you seem to feel that they are inmportant for you to comment on ... lead us to the information regarding the Mexician Socialist Party
If you insist on moving this to a discussion of Mexican illegal immigration --
... Duuh.. I think people crossing our border illegally is bad...

You're right, it's just one of the reasons to scorn Mexico, I can think of a few others as well. Like the fact some of those illegals they're encouraging to illegally "migrate" here are just as socialist as those in that insignificant socialist party.
Bottom line: nothing you say will change what I've said in this post... Mexico, North Korea, and China are not friends of the US. And I'll add France to that as well. And when we will learn?

Just where is this "fact" ?...
and provide evidence of the "encouragement"...?
Hint... Mexico Does not have to encourage people to attempt to cross the border illegally...

Mexican officials are on record as telling illegals..."if you get caught by the border patrol, try again." I don't have time tonight to provide you a link, I'll do it tomorrow. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Btw, I don't dislike Mexican people, I just think immigration should be legal, and the government down there should do more for its own people. They're using us a scapegoat for their problems, and it's getting old.

Noticed something interesting - did anyone check out
the Korean News Link? (Remember, just hit cancel, cancel-
downloading not necessary). At the very bottom of the
menu they have listed several articles for "Spanish
speaking people only". Why no other languages? Also,
why not a complete list of articles as those above?
Maybe I'm just nit-picking!

Coming from N Korea, it's propaganda anyway, but they've probably got communist friends in all of Latin America, not just Mexico. That failed ideology is alive and well.
