Then Hamas has accomplished what they wanted. Terrorism pays, right?

The appropriate response is for Israel to completely destroy Hamas, BEFORE peace can be brokered. Negotiating with terrorism never works.

By the way, the PLO is supposed to shut these groups down, which, of course, they are not doing. Isn't that a prerequisite to the "roadmap"?

I think it was part of the roadmap, not a prerequisite.

Israel can't destroy Hamas, or they already would have. I certainly don't have any objection if they did it now.

But make no mistake, it is Hamas (and Arafat) who want the roadmap to fail. And if it is abandoned this early, the terrorists will have won.
