Sounds like book burning is right around the corner in Atlanta. Too many white faces on the inside flap y'know.

I use the Fulton Co. libraries and I'm familiar with a number of these white librarians. They are very dedicated. They were trying to do their job in a library system devoid of good leadership. They started to complain and were demoted. I'm glad they're winning in court.

BTW, a few years ago the Fulton Co. Commissioner, a Republican, asked Neal Boortz to be on the Library Board. Neal attended one board meeting and quit. He couldn't stand the idiocy of the Library Board.

the county must pay $16.8 million in damages

The white folks still lose! Think of the irony of it:

1. The workers are moved to lower paying positions.

2. They receive less money.

3. They win the suit.

4. They are rewarded by having their county taxes and insurance raised by huge lawsuit awards against the county not the individuals involved.

5. The people who discriminated received no measurable punishment nor did they inflict any financial damage to themselves.

The only winners in this suit were the lawyers and the perpetrators of the deeds.

I just came back from ALA.org to see what spin the American Library Association was going to put on this ruling. Nothing so far. However this link will so you how far to the left the ALA has gone. This is the program for the ALA conference that will be held in Toronto at the end of the month.
