But in the 2000 election, the Libertarian presidential ticket received 382,892 votes (of 105.4 million cast, or about 3.6 percent). Actually that would be 0.36 percent.

Judge Gray may do to Bush 43 what Perot did to Bush 41.

This one is for youAnd why is this one for me? The Libertarians don't know that we're a Republic any more than the Democrats or Republicans (who really should know what a Republic is) do.
All three of those political parties think America is a damned Democracy!
Give me a Ron Paul, no matter the association, who is unequivocal in the matter.
A Republic, Not a DemocracyThroughout the presidential election controversy, we have been bombarded with references to our sacred "democracy." Television and radio shows have been inundated with politicians worried about the "will of the people" being thwarted by the courts. Solemn warnings have been issued concerning the legitimacy of the presidency and the effects on our "democratic system" if the eventual winner did not receive the most popular votes. "I'm really in love with our democracy," one presidential candidate gushed to a reporter. Apparently, the United States at some point become a stealth democracy at the behest of news directors and politicians. The problem, of course, is that our country is not a democracy. Our nation was founded as a constitutionally limited republic, as any grammar school child knew just a few decades ago (remember the Pledge of Allegiance: "and to the Republic for which it stands"...?). The Founding Fathers were concerned with liberty, not democracy. In fact, the word democracy does not appear in the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution. On the contrary, Article IV, section 4 of the Constitution is quite clear: "The United States shall guarantee to every state in this Union a Republican Form of Government (emphasis added). The emphasis on democracy in our modern political discourse has no historical or constitutional basis.
As they say in Missouri...SHOW ME.
And as I say...BITE ME!

Judge Gray may do to Bush 43 what Perot did to Bush 41, And you just lick your chops at that thought don't you. Oh well hope you are happy with your President Kerrey, Gephardt, Lieberman etc..
All that aside, it is eye opening that a Libertarian candidate has a good friend in uber socialist elitist Walter Cronkite.
As is Walter Cronkite ("Drives a stake through the heart of the failed War on Drugs and gives us options to hope for in the battles to come").

"I believe that John Ashcroft (Bush's U.S. Attorney General) and Osama bin Laden, each in their own way, are working together to turn our country into East Germany," Also the above quote could be used like the parlor game of "Who said this quote? Al Gore or the unabomber".
In this case the parlor game would be called,
"Who said this quote? A Libertarian Presidential candidate, a Green Presidential candidate, a Democrat presidential candidate, or the President of the ACLU."

You never cease to amaze...
Former Secretary of State George P. Shultz is quoted on the back cover ("We can fight drug use and abuse and still explore viable options"). As is Walter Cronkite ("Drives a stake through the heart of the failed War on Drugs and gives us options to hope for in the battles to come").
A quote (or more accurately a comment/critique on the book) on the back cover of a book suddenly makes the man a "good friend" of "uber socialist elitist Walter Cronkite".
TOO funny!
Is former Secretary of State George P. Shultz a "good friend" too or just a "fair friend"? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA
With friends like those he needs no enemies. He's got both ends covered!

I've seen Judge Gray on the talking head shows a few times. Seems like a good man. Well informed on issues and honest. Be a welcome change from what's been inhabiting the WH for the last century, I'll vote for the man if Ron Paul doesn't run.

I've been a Republican voter for over forty years. The failure of the GOP to stand up for the Constitution on this issue has me ready to bolt the party.
Judge Gray just may be the one to send me into the Libertarian camp!

"You can't fool all of the people..." You're losing Dane. Your WOD is based on lies.
Flaming me will not boost your cause. It just shows that you can't refute Judge Gray.

I'm a Platinum Member of the RNC, and thus "should be given special consideration by all Republican leaders as one who has provided the lifeblood of our Party over many years."
And I say that the WOD is bad for the Party, bad for our nation, and bad for peace and the rule of law.
I shall not vote for any candidate who supports the WOD, either vocally or tacitly.

I too have come to that conclusion. We may not win elections, but we'll have the peace of mind of knowing that we supported the Constitution to the end.

I agree that the WOD is a total failure and it is costing us billions of dollars.
I'm unlikely to waste my vote on a Libertarian, though. Even Ron Paul decided to work through the Republican Party.

Flaming me will not boost your cause. It just shows that you can't refute Judge Gray Uh you were the one who started the flaming in reply #4. Just think if your hero Perot had never had gotten in the race, there probably would have never been 8 years of Clinton and the awful Hillary whitewash interview by Babarbra Walters tonight.
But you go ahead and shoot yourself in the foot, all over your pro-drug position. Don't ask me to be one of your lemmings.

Uh you were the one who started the flaming in reply #4.
In reply #4 I said "Judge Gray may do to Bush 43 what Perot did to Bush 41". That is a factual statement, not a flame.
Just think if your hero Perot had never had gotten in the race, there probably would have never been 8 years of Clinton and the awful Hillary whitewash interview by Babarbra Walters tonight.
I did not vote for Perot. I voted for Bush.
But you go ahead and shoot yourself in the foot, all over your pro-drug position.
My position is not pro drug. My position is pro Constitution. I have always, and will always speak out against those who would destroy the only free republic in the history of mankind. If that is shooting myself in the foot, so be it!
Don't ask me to be one of your lemmings.
I'm sorry you fear freedom, but supporting this insane war is leading you down the path to tyranny. That's what makes you a lemming.

Bush should have beaten Gore by a landslide. That he didn't shows that the GOP has alienated too many voters.
It's not about the economy. It's about out of control government. The Republican Party continues to move to the left and refuses to listen to any point of view other than the extremists who have total control of the party.
If more of us start supporting people like Judge Gray maybe the party will get the message. If not, it won't matter which party is in power because they will be the same.

It's not about the economy. It's about out of control government. That is important to you and me, but it's important to a tiny minority of Americans.
Tiny
Maybe a percent or two, but WAY less than 10%. Most voters are interested in what the government will do for them. Period.
If you believe otherwise, you will be doomed to a lifetime of disappointment.
