The '70s, contrary to the popular conception, were not entirely liberal though. Reagan didn't materialize out of nowhere.

Probably a lot more than what most people think. Some of the hardest of the Hard Corps Republicans (big R) I know smoke weed. They have to, I suppose, in order to keep themselves from violently lashing out at the bravo sierra-spouting "progressives" and their totalitarian agenda.

Reminds me of something I read a couple of years ago about the new generation of "gun-toting, pot-smoking Republicans."
