"Democrats were largely dispirited after (Al) Gore's loss," he said. "They're looking for someone who can best energize the Democratic base." May I suggest Mullah Ormar?

"I think the gods are smiling on New England this year, on both the Red Sox and John Kerry." Note to John Kerry: You might want to spike polytheism before the elections. It doesn't play well in the south.

John Kerry is a dick!
He is my favorite Senator too.
Consider my options. I have the "Wizard of Uhhs" aka Ted Kennedy, and Liveshot (I never met a camera that I did not like) Kerry. I should shoot myself.
I really do despise these guys!

Since Kennedy, no Democrat can win the presidency unless he is from the South.
The traditional coalition of Northern Liberal Democrats and Southern Democrats (an echo of the Civil War) worked in the legislature because Southerners tended not to associate the locals with the Northerners. But, when Northern Democrat Liberalism is personified in a single candidate, the southerners always bolt for the more conservative Republican (or an independent).
And now, since 1994, the coalition is badly broke and ain't likely to be fixed.
