Walters to Hillary: What About the Next Monica?
NewsMax.com ^ | 6/07/03 | Carl Limbacher and NewsMax.com Staff

In her interview with Hillary Clinton, ABC News star Barbara Walters poses a question that could land her husband in a pile of trouble, asking the world's most famous cheated-on spouse: What will you do if there's another Monica Lewinsky?

Though comments by Walters herself suggest that she avoided some of the most politically perilous questions, ABC's top interviewer said Friday she found one question more difficult to ask than any other.

"The toughest question I had to ask her was, what if he does it again?" Walters revealed to radio host Don Imus, adding, "And that's not in [Hillary's] book."

Unless Mrs. Clinton somehow dodged the question altogether, her response could spell trouble for either her political career or her marriage. And maybe both.

If the nation's top elected Democrat says she'll let another Lewinsky-like episode slide, it will further erode the credibility of her claims that she was upset by Bill's first fling with Monica - confirming once and for all that their marriage is a cynical, politically motivated hoax.

But if she threatens to take action the next time Bill is caught with his pants down, she'll have to follow through - or be exposed as a complete fraud. In that case, reporters are liable to begin paying closer attention to some of Mr. Clinton's post-presidential extracurricular activities.

In just the two years since the former first couple left the White House, he has been linked to dozens of women. Last year the Australian press was full of reports about local TV star Charlotte Dawson's "date" with the ex-president. Other reports linked him to supermodel Naomi Campbell.

Campbell's spokesman denied a report that his client was canoodling with the ex-president, explaining to the Washington Post last June that the supermodel was instead involved with Mr. Clinton's personal aide, Douglas Band.

The paper described Band as "so stern and strapping" that he's often mistaken for a member of Clinton's security detail.

Oddly enough, Campbell's alibi matches Ms. Dawson's denial almost exactly. A spokesman for the Aussie TV star told the New York Post last July that his client wasn't dating Mr. Clinton, insisting instead that reporters had mistaken Hillary's husband for one of the ex-president's "more strapping, macho security guys."

Whether or not Hillary buys the "security guy" explanation, if she tells Barbara Walters that she'll clobber Bill after the next Monica, Mr. Clinton's "strapping" bodyguard is going to have his hands full in more ways than one.

Dennis Miller said it best. The Clintons are a Slurpee machine and Slim Jim jar from a marriage of convenience. That's close to a quote.

The lovely ladies are BJ's wishful thinking. When he was president and could supposedly get many women, he got Monica. He will oogle the likes of Kim Catrall until the cows come home, but he really isn't going to score on that level. Being seen with them and starting a gossip buzz is about all he can hope for.

Well ... I do agree that Hitlery used x42's infidelities to gain her sympathy. However, that game was played while he was president.

Just before impeachment, it was reported by the mainstream media that 75% of the public did not want x42 removed from office. However, just ONE YEAR LATER the mainstream media neglected (or ignored) data which said that 75% of the public had now changed their mind and thought x42 should have been removed from office.

At that point, x42 was no longer able to draw sympathy for his wife. Wives everywhere were fed up with the jerk, and they thought Hitlery was stupid for sticking with him.

Then ... 9/11 happened. Everything has changed. I believe the public has realized that Hitlery must have something wrong with her if she's willing to stay with such a creep. The "victim" act is not working any more.

As for the Today Show (NBC), Barbara Walters (ABC), and the NYT - I don't think these people have 1/10th of the clout they had during the x42 regime. The NYT cannot be trusted at all these days; ABC has one of the lowest ratings of any of the networks, and NBC is only slightly over ABC. I Don't think Hitlery gets much help here.

Susan Estrich said Hitlery was "one of the most polarizing people in the world". Her approval ratings in NY cannot get much above 40%. Like Gore - if you can't win your home state - you cannot win the country.

The ratings for her book on Amazon may be #2, but as soon as a few people read it and explain what little truth is in it - sales will plummet!

That was an uncalled for personal attack on a poster, which is against the rules here.

And it reflects poorly on you.

" There is abundant evidence that she only wants to be touched by other women. His infidelities are only important to her from a political perspective, and given today's ethics, they may even cut positively for her."

And her interviews are by women who would not dare broach that subject..... in fact, the interviewers will only broach the suject of Monica, and not even the lengthy past indiscretions and why she stayed with him, etc, etc,

Of course, her response would be love - but somewhere the political reasons will surface in a forceful way that will actually impact the public perception and her ability to use her decision-making capbility and judgement...... and god help her if just ONE of HER lovers decides to write a tell-all book.

Of course, they've already probably been appropriately threatened.

In a nation with a 50% divorce rate

Exactly what I'm talking about, IF a person has self respect they get out of humiliating marriages. She chases away more votes than she gains by playing victim all the time. No one likes a loser.

It's obvious is a marriage of power not sex. They are two partners in crime. They are immoral, lying, scheming people out for their own. They are phonies and deserve each other.

A more pertinent question: What about the PREVIOUS Monica?

What did hillary clinton know and when did she know it?
And was she part of it?
Neither HARLEQUIN PROSE Nor RESPIRATORY ARREST Nor clinton CANINES
will resuscitate the moribund, zipper-hoisted coconspirator

In a nation with a 50% divorce rate and the largest proportion of single adults in more than 100 years who screw around promiscuously, the Clintons are serious life style representatives for a large number of people in this nation committed to living and defending such a life style.

Hmmm. Excellent point. (bump)

Taking advantage of poor recently divorced women lately? Too bad, I kindof liked her.

"A lot of married women put up with infidelity for this very reason. "

But why would a lot of married women stay married to a man who disgusted them that badly?

When you look at how common adultery is, and the rate of divorce in this country, you realize that a lot of married women don't put up with it.

As for Hillary, she has too much at stake politically to go rocking the apple cart, as well as the reason I propounded earlier.

You are so right - and I believe that was part of the agreement between the 2 of them from the beginning. He could have his women and she would have POWER!!

The only problem was allowing him to be President. Now ... the public is so sickened by them, she will never get to fulfill her dream; which could only be our nightmare.
