The baby was alive, and by killing the mother the killer would know beyond any doubt that he was killing the baby, too. And when disposing of Laci's body, with the baby within her....adds up to two murders.

I do agree with your reply which is to state the obvious to most of us. I was just parroting something I heard on the news by some doctor..I think Wecht or Baden said that there was not date of death on the death certificate because there was no birth certificate. It made me wonder then, if a child is stillborn does it get any kind of certificate?
