Yeah, timing is everything! lol

Did you notice that he was gulping as he walked into the court room? Like he was working on crying before the discussion even began. Looked like he stuck to the 'script' even when things turned and all the talk was about paperwork.

My estimation of Scottie's IQ fell a few more points after this pitiful performance.

So, did Geragos hire an acting coach to teach Scott how to cry on cue? (Sorry for the sarcasm--I know he's innocent until found guilty--but I just can't help but think he had something to do with this.)

I guess he should have had an acting coach when he was showing little concern at all when Laci was missing.

Every moment of this saga sends my mind back to the Rocha family. It almost haunts me.

We have a daughter a bit older than Laci and one a little younger. Not only are they the joy of our lives, but the anticipation of their children, our grandkids, had to be one of the greatest of all times.

All of this crap with Geragos and the talk surrounding manner of death, etc. has to be a pain that few can imagine.

I believe that Laci's parents know for certain that Scott killed their daughter and grandson. Seeing this phony crying spectacle must make them want to commit murder themselves.

I don't think I could hold up. I pray for them every day.

Scott Peterson is the next O.J. Simpson. We can only hope that Amber Frey doesn't become the next Kato Kaelin. :)

That was why I thought someone might have given him a little coaching--he was utterly emotionless up until yesterday.

Anyone besides me noticing that Peterson and his legal team are now the darlings of Court TV and Fox News? Think it might be (at least in part) because of Geragos' connections with the Clintons?

It could very well be a factor. He is sure enjoying the accolades, isn't he?

I never stop being astounded that people can actually praise and admire a defense attorney because his/her tricks of the trade could set a killer free.

I doubt it will work this time, though. I hope Geragos goes down in flames with his client.

"I believe that Laci's parents know for certain that Scott killed their daughter and grandson"

Katie Couric will be doing a DATELINE special with the Rocha's.

In the preview she asks the Rocha's if they believe Scott killed Laci.

We will have to watch DATELINE to find out their answer.

Problem is I can't remember if the special is Sunday or Monday night. :-(

An acting coach? Hey, it's possible. He seems to be pulling out all the stops. Geragos is well-connected, you know. He might just have gotten The Master of Deceit to give Scott a few quick pointers.

Next lesson: Biting your lower lip to achieve that innocent babe look.

Taking his comittment to mass media as a platform to raise and discuss the burning issues of the day one step further, Geragos migrated to the web as a way of providing an opportunity for independent discussion of the burning issues of the day.

Geragos to SP, April 2003 - Listen, we know your guilty but I've been anxious to try out this new theory of mine. That is, to see if by using a concentrated media campaign a clearly guilty person can be acquitted.

"Police believe Scott Peterson drugged his pregnant wife with the growth hormone and date rape drug -- GHB -- and then strangled her in the couple's Modesto home, numerous sources revealed to KTVU Channel 2 on Friday.

Sources on both sides of the case told KTVU's Ted Rowlands that the prosecution's theory of the crime had been pieced together using information salvaged from a computer taken from the Peterson home."

From the Cognitive Enhancement Research Institute:

"GHB induces "remarkable hypotonia" (muscle relaxation) [Vickers, 1969]. It is now gaining popularity in France and Italy as an aid to childbirth. GHB causes "spectacular action on the dilation of the cervix," decreased anxiety, greater intensity and frequency of uterine contractions, increased sensitivity to oxytocic drugs (used to induce contractions), preservation of reflexes, a lack of respiratory depression in the fetus, and protection against fetal cardiac anoxia (especially in cases where the umbilical cord wraps around the fetus' neck) [Vickers, 1969; Laborit, 1964]."

Given this information, it would appear that there might be a perfectly innocent explanation for why GHB had been researched on the Petersons' computer......depending upon when the research was done, of course.

Don't trust anything leaked to the media...especially when they make a point to say it's coming from both sides. I suspect that police don't suspect this scenario. Rather they noted the existence of the computer research of GHB on the evidence logs. The defense has this through discovery. This is defense spin, like when they saw that MPD had talked to individuals concerning satanic cults. The police never considered the satanic thing viable nor do they, I suspect, believe the GHB theory.

Why, "depending on when the research was done"? If it was done at any time b/f Laci died, then she could have done it. If it was done after that, then she couldn't have done it, and Scott would have been doing it too late for it to be of use to him in killing his wife.

Yeah, boy, I know that when I was pregnant, I just went all over the place, looking up drugs and checking them out, so I could tell my doctors, "Use this" or "Use that". I'm sure Laci had the same extensive knowledge of chemistry that I have. (Um... nada.) After all, the patient knows so much more than the doctor, I'm sure most patients do all the research themselves, and the doctors are just there to look pretty.

And that was why she was going to those Lamaze classes, sure.

I wonder if MG has someone reading sites like these for new ideas..that is a good one..how can the baby be murdered if it was never born alive?

Long ago I told my husband that there was no blood all over because he smothered her...but the notion of drugs and stangulation is as good a method too.

Felt really sad for Laci's mother yesterday..what a heartbreak she has to endure. And Snotty Scotty's tears? OJ did a better job.
