Hey, it's like this, women have their "inner b!@#$," we have our "inner pig." B-) Like any animal, you cannot keep them cooped up in a cage all the time, you got to let them roam and be free every so often. Yeah, there are times as guys, we got to listen to our womenfolk and they have to do with us, but this post does mark our differences though. This post cracked me up and has really made my day. B-)

"Child rearing just isn't the same since they outlawed Laudanum..."

LOL....yeah, I'm kinda dreading this...especially since my SON IN-LAW is the only one I managed to contact today about details like TIME OF ARRIVAL...he said "I dont know"...I said "That makes two of us"...

He's a GREAT kid when he's feeling ok...but I can't shake the feeling that we're having someone elses crisis dropped in our laps. We paid OUR dues, years ago...what happened to spoiling the dears and then handing them back to their parents when they cry?? (yikes....can't be as bad as we THINK it'll be...)

Oh Lawdy, I do HATE to shop! Unless I'm shopping at the Home Depot, then I'm a happy camper.

No, she didn't accuse you of being a string bean. She said you were adorable no matter what you looked like; and she is right.

Erm,
I prefer shopping by catalog in the 'net...

HOWEVER, I am now extremely well versed and well aquainted with the staffs at Home Depot and Lowes....

And every junk and second hand shop in town.

It ain't shoppin, it is survival ;)

Hello, I too lack the shopping gene. Lucky for me, my MIL doesn't and she's one size larger than me (I get all her clothes that "shrink") What she buys isn't necessarily what I'd buy, but it's good quality, not tacky and it does the job.

She (and my mother) have closets upon closets to store their clothing. I just don't get it. I share the walk-in w/my husband and he has the closet in the spare bedroom.

I am in my mid to late 30's and I my hair is down to the middle of my back. I am definitely in the minority in Nashville. Most women have the bobbed "do's". My husband always wonders why all the women have the same haircut and no make-up look. Well, it takes a while to get my "do" ready but he always tells me how much he likes my hair, and to never cut it! I will keep it long until I really feel that I need a more age appropriate "do". I have (2) boys; 3 and 7 months. Pony tails are a "good thing" too!

Why don't you just tell them that you will meet them at the restaurant?
