In Datong, Shanxi Province, more than 70 SARS cases have been identified but Beijing has reported only five to the WHO, according to the source.
Shenyang, in Liaoning Province, has been sealed off, according to the source, with all schools closed and people prohibited from going outside.

What SARS? There are no cases of
SARS anywhere near China.

Thanks for the ping! Great article. It really shows how petty the PRC is. I still don't feel confident in the validity of China's assertion that SARS is decreasing. WHO and various others have also been reluctant to believe the PRC hype...even the left-wing BBC has questioned the SARS figures.
As usuall, it will probably be the chinese people who suffer while their 'leaders' enjoy the confortable luxuries dictatorships afford.
Has anyone heard updates re: SARS in the rural areas? The press seems to have quit covering that aspect. SARS in Beijing seems to be what their focusing on but if the rural areas have it (and it's covered-up or untreated), you can bet Beijing will get another dose.
