The clip I saw had each candidate riding his own hobby horse: Dean against the war; Edwards bashing the drug companies; and Kerry (in an interview) backing national defense.

They were dancing on the head of a pin, trying to make pronouncements to the "progressives" that would resonate while not providing sound bites that would alienate the average Dim voter.

That's what she keeps telling me - that I shouldn't have to worry about her commuting on public transportation, sometimes late at night. Sheesh. While watching Brit Hume (LOVE HIM!) I saw the part of the clip where Kerry mentioned it being June 6th, D-Day, etc. Only he was a day off (and I guess a few ketchup dollars short.)

To see these presidential candidates pandering to a less than full hall with representatives from every one-issue left wing demographic probably was not the finest moment in photo-op land they could want. I think that is why they did not want Carl Cameron's report on live TV.

I believe it was during the same Brit Hume hour that a report surfaced to the effect that there would be no ketchup money for Heinz-Kerry's campaign. (Teresa may be crazy but she's not stupid.)
