That thing you heard about Jamie Lee Curtis is nothing more than an urban legend. In truth, Jamie Lee Curtis was born, raised and is, indeed, female. Just ask Christopher Guest.

Let's assume that the assertion that Curtis is geneticly male is false. In that case, assertions that she is XY in places like EZ Entertainment, and various university bio references like here, here, and here would be libelous and defamitory. The only defense against a charge of libel and defamation in such a case would be that the assertion was the truth

Jamie has lots of money. Having her perceived as a male would lessen her box-office appeal, and thus her cash-flow. It would also have an impact on the value of her movies. Do you have the slightest doubt that her lawyers would be all over anybody making the assertion if it was untrue? Do you have the slightest doubt that movie studio lawyers would be all over anybody making the assertion?

Let us also assume you are going to make the argument Ms. Curtis is not.

Do you have the slightest doubt that her lawyers would be all over anybody making the assertion if it was untrue?

We aren't talking about Tom Cruise, here. One only has to look at Ms. Curtis to see what gender she is. And she has been married to a man for at least two decades. She does not have to worry over such silliness, nor should she.

People capable of cognitive thought know better.
