Mass grave found in north Iraq

03jun03

A MASS grave containing the remains of 200 Kurdish children has been discovered in the northern Iraqi province of Kirkuk, the Kurdish newspaper Taakhi reported today.

"Citizens discovered on May 30 a communal grave close to Debs, in Kirkuk. But this is different from other mass graves discovered since the fall of Saddam Hussein's terrorist regime because it contains the remains of 200 child victims of the repression of the Kurdish uprising" in 1991, the paper said. "Even dolls were buried with the children," it said.

I am curious as to why the mass media outside of Fox News are not reporting the uncovering of these mass graves which bear witness to the slaughter of innocents.

Simple: The media elites are sympathetic to dictators. They understand the need to kill your opponents in order to maintain your hold on power. Even children. Because, to liberals, nothing -- and I do mean nothing -- is more sacred than holding power. How that power is abused is irrelevant to them.

I've seen some reports of mass graves on some of the majors (ABC/CBS/NBC).

At the same time, I wouldn't be suprised if FOX isn't doing a much better job.

As for all the network news operations, they should be doing the "Mike Wallace"-style
hit pieces on weasels like Natalie Maines (Dixie Chicks) by catching them
in public places and asking if they'd been happier if Saddam and Co.
could have stayed in place and kept up these murders.

Instead most of the mass media are content to harp on WMD

Bingo.

Saddam IS (Was?) a Weapon of Mass Destruction. Either way, "He's not a threat anymore." Too late for these poor children whose souls have my prayers that they have peace, but at least no more will be slaughtered.

Funny how that story that Saddam's victims may have numbered up to 8 million has dropped off the radar. Wouldn't want to upset anyone.
