According to a former Bill Clinton staffer, Senator Hilary Rodham Clinton is paying for some national polling the will guage her political and personal popularity while she makes her national television appearances and speaks about her book.
I'ts all part of a summer long decision making process about whether she should make a run for the 2004 Democratic Presidential Nomnation this time around,' says the Former Clinton staffer.
'Bill really wants her to do it.'
The rumours of Mrs. Clinton possibly entering the race are being taken seriously enough that some Democrats in New York and planting negative comments about her in the press in an attempt to temper her national political aspirations.
'She made a committment to this party, to this state, to serve as Senator for six years,' says a state party operative from Upstate New York.
'She and her people know full well what went into her getting the nomination. She should not back out on promises the she-and her husband--made to us. They should focus on the state and their constitutients.

I dont think a Hillary loss as a VP candidate would hurt her chances for 08 at all..

You are correct. The Clinton stategery...
1) They will keep the limelight on themselves to "suck all of the oxygen" away from the RAT contenders
2) Their enablers will work behind the scenes to torpedo the RAT chances for beating Bush. No fingerprints...
3) Sinator Clintoon wins reelection in '06 - "see I kept my promise"
4) Waiting for '08 gives her time to build a "real" resume and allows for a popular President to retire
I assumed that 6 months after leaving office that they would divorce; however, when they didn't, I knew they needed each other for something else. Hillary needs Bill's political skills - Bill needs Hillary to get back in the game. He wants to play President again... BARF

Hispanics possess some traits which make them a better fit in the Republican Party.Which is why the Dems haven't and won't confirm an Hispanic because 90% are Catholic and consequently pro-life.

But Her Heinous never said that she wouldn't run for VP in 2004.. Exactly! After the 47 declared Dem candidates beat each other to a bloody pulp, she will emerge as the perfect compromise Veep candidate. She never pledged NOT to run as number two. She doesn't get hurt at all if the ticket loses, because it sets her up as the heir apparent in '08. However, if the economy keeps tanking, when the media goes all-out, if Bush stumbles at all - and the ticket squeaks out a win - she can become president-for-life merely by disposing of the new prez, either through scandal or a clean kill.
It's the perfect Hillary scenario: at the bottom of the ticket, she is not the main focus. She only has one debate and will not have to expose herself too terribly much.

We feel {understandably} snake bitten by Bill Clinton. But we're blowing way out of all realistic proportion the potency of a Hillary run '04, '08 or any other time! Name one astute political move she's ever engineered!

What earthly good does Hillary as VP do for the Dem ticket? She is a polarizing figure like no other in America today. Which Pres. candidate would trust her and Bill enough to put her on the ticket? Plus, she's too vain to labeled "loser" when GW buries them.

I can't believe these people actually believed her ...?? The x42 bunch are the biggest liars in the universe ... I find it hard to believe anybody holds them to a higher standard of truth.
Speaking of which - I believe the "liar" tag the dems are trying to paint on Bush is to COVER the "liar" tag which x42 acquired during his regime!

There isn't one dem candidate that has anything but glowing words for Hillary. It would be a popular move, among dems, for any nominee to put her on the ticket. After a bloody battle in the primaries it may even behoove the winner to do so - especially if it is still close at convention.
Who would trust her? I'm not aware that trust is an important factor among dems but, possibly, Edwards, whom the Clintons are backing. Perhaps Dean, who has already endorsed her for president "another time." "Polarizing?" Ok. But, again, she wouldn't be at the top of the ticket or the main focus. "Loser." No. The guy at the top would be the perceived loser. Most people can't remember vice-presidents, much less the ones who lost running for the job.
Let me ask you something: Can you imagine any other way she could sneak in?
To: All
As obviously twisted as the Clintons' relationship is, I could see Bill pushing her to run in '04. In other words pushing her right off the cliff! Do you really think Bill the megalomaniac wants his wife to duplicate his feat of being elected President Of The United States?!?!

It isn't that Hillary's dumb enough to run against Bush ... but her LUST FOR POWER can blind her to reality. It happens to super egotistical people all the time. I'm confident that's why x42 is out there trying to drum up support for changing the 22nd amendment. They are both so dilusional, they believe she can win and once she does, x42 will change the law and he thinks he's an automatic shoe-in for re-election.
Like Susan Estrich said, "Hillary will never be President". They're just sucking up all the oxygen to keep the dems from winning so she can have a clear shot in 2008 - but she still won't ever be President!

1. Their glowing public comments about Hillary belie the mistrust the truly feel.
2. She would be a famous, well-remembered VP candidate. And the Right would make sure she took the blame for the landslide. {And, I suspect, so would her future Dem rivals.}
3. No, I see only one scenario for her election: A typical Clintonesque, bitter, divisive battle with a third party candidate. Hillary's "top end" is about 38-40% I think.

I think Hillary would be smart to distance herself if she loses in a landslide.(unless they lose all 50 states)
