Scott Peterson's mother, Jackie Peterson, told the Bee, "I have a lot of empathy for Sharon but she does not have a right to go in our house and take what she wants."

OK, so whose house is it? Laci and Scott's or Jackie Peterson? Just weird she refers to it as our house. Or did I miss something? I have to admit I am not keeping up on this situation.

Jackie said the other day that it's Scott's house. He inherited Laci's half when she died.

It is Scott’s house of course! The high and mighty son. I too have in-laws that refer to our house (my husband's and mine) as "my sons house" all the time, it is part of being ignorant.

The Peterson's have Power of Attorney from Scott.I believe calling it their house is over the top and shows their usual lack of sensitivity. This may require a civil attorney to sort out and in the meantime they lost a PR battle.

Since a death certificate hasn't been issued, it is still half hers'. If Scott is convicted the house goes to her family.
