Jackie said the other day that it's Scott's house. He inherited Laci's half when she died. Someone's probably commented on this by now, but from what I gather from the legal experts on tv, this house is now in legal limbo, and until SP is cleared of this, his family shouldn't be claiming it as theirs.
If he's convicted, the estate will go to the Rochas. He won't profit at all. Have others here heard that?

And my favorite

I am wondering when Scott Peterson took Lacy's rings and diamonds to the jewelers and also why the Peterson's think he should have her inheritance from her grandmother and the wedding and engagement ring? He hasn't been convicted of her murder yet, but he has already been found to be a cheater/cad/jerk/creep....
I am wondering if he had planned to give the jewelry to Amber. His parents are nuts. I don't blame Lacy's mother for breaking into get her stuff.

Did you see the interview where he called his marriage glorious? I don't think he thought the bodies would surface and he was seen at the pier.I don't know the evidence they have if any.I'll wait on a trial to pronounce a certainty. He has acted in a suspicious manner and I suspect he's guilty.

The Peterson's have Power of Attorney from Scott.I believe calling it their house is over the top and shows their usual lack of sensitivity. I think of the term--"The spirit of the law, rather than the letter of the law"...but that's not being considered by the Ps, I'm afraid.

Defiant posted this on another thread
HERE:
"Community property means that all income earned within the marriage is owned equally by the spouses, and all property bought with CP funds is also CP. There is a presumption that property owned by a married person is CP, but that can be overcome by a showing that it was owned before the marriage, or given to a spouse by someone as their separate property (like an inheritance). When a married person dies without a will, their property (which is a 1/2 interest in their community property) passes to their heirs. When a married person dies childless, their only heir is their spouse, and all the CP would therefore pass to the spouse.
If Scott becomes ineligible to inherit from Laci because he is proven to have killed her, then the succession would go to Laci's parents, then her siblings, and then you get into cousins, uncles, etc."

Have others here heard that? He will keep his portion of the community property including half of the house equity. Zilch, nada, zero of Laci's seperate possesions, community property or other interests will go to him. That's the way I hear it.

Greta was saying that the National Enqirer was on the property (Laci's House) to get pictures of the kitchen, and the neighbors started yelling at them as they were taking pictures through the door.

Some lawyers have said it's not Scott's house while he is accused of murder (if he's exonerated, then it can be)--but some folks here feel otherwise. What lawyers? Whatever happened to "innocent until proven guilty?" California is a community property state, so upon the death of a spouse, all property becomes that of the surviving spouse.

Do you remember what day Geragos made his "day if not hours" proclaimation? May 21st or 22nd.

I caught a few minutes of Geraldo Friday afternoon on Linda Vester's new show. She asked him who had leaked the autopsy report and he replied that he would die before giving up his sources. Then the next thing out of his mouth was - well, I can tell you this, it was leaked by both sides [prosecution and defense].
The breaking news alert you described lends that lovely Jason Blair quality to Geraldo's reporting.

It's a wonder they're not dizzy. I knew better than to hold my breath waiting for the mystery witness to finger the satanic cult. With the advent of Donnie the druggie in landscaper drag, two rings of MG's three ring circus are filled. We'll all be dizzy before this roadshow is over.

A few days ago we read in below article that Laci's internal organs were missing, except for the womb.
From Fox News Article: 5/23/03The right leg is severed at the knee; the left foot is missing; the heart, lungs and other internal organs are gone and there is a hole in the upper abdomen above the belly button that may be a knife wound, said the source, who asked not to be identified. The womb, however, is intact -- suggesting that the nearly full-term baby was not cut out of Lacis body but was expelled naturally after she was killed.
Above snippet came from here. New Details Emerge About Condition of Laci's Body
Now from the above New York Daily News Article we read this:
The report also said she had caffeine in her system. If the levels are high, and Laci Peterson had a habit of drinking coffee at a certain time of day, "that might tell you what time of the day this [slaying] occurred," Spitz said.
Now I want to know if all here internal organs were missing how in the world were they able to determine she had caffeine in her system?
I guess her bones had that nervous twitch.
The media reporting gets more and more rediculous every day.
