Yeah, I don't see how it makes any difference, unless, for example she WAS killed in that house, and we later find that Laci's family removed something that could have and should have been used as evidence... But I doubt the police (I'm assuming the police were competent, but you never know) would have let them continue if that were the case...

I seriously doubt there's any forensic evidence whatsoever that Laci was killed in the house, because the police & prosecutors have not behaved all along as one would expect were such evidence present. Of course, I personally doubt that Scott Peterson killed Laci Peterson (though I also think he was...how should I put it...less than distraught at her disappearance). Having said all that, I really don't care either way - it's just one more murder amongst thousands...

CF, crime tape had been removed. The house was unsealed. I think this entire thing was just a psyche war against the Rochas. The police have removed all evidence; if Geragos hadn't gotten it all by now, he's just plain lazy or careless. In my opinion, the Petersons and their legal team knew they could hurt the Rochas, so they kept them out. I know the Petersons are fighting for their son's life, but shame on 'em for this.

And what if Scott Peterson says he has some kind of proof that clears him that used to be in the house? If I were in Scott Peterson and his lawyer's position, I'd be thrilled.
How can they take anything before it's probated?
