Former first lady isn’t planning White House bid
Press Republican ^ | 5/31/03 | Joe Lotemlio

PLATTSBURGH — Although speculation remains alive that U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton may yet wind up as the Democratic Party’s candidate for president next year, she says she doesn’t lie awake at night dreaming of becoming the first woman president.

Partly because she’s too tired.

"I don’t think like that. I’m so exhausted when I get in bed at night that I immediately pass out,’’ she laughed during an interview with the Press-Republican Editorial Board Friday afternoon.

On a serious note, though, Clinton said she is not thinking of a White House run at this time, even though prominent Democrats such as former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, a presidential candidate himself, say she would make a good leader.

"(Dean is) a friend of mine, and he’s been a very good governor, and I very much appreciate his kind words, but he, and the other people in this race, are going to determine who the next president is going to be,’’ she said.

"Three years ago I didn’t even know I would be sitting here as a senator. ... Right now I am just so interested in what I am learning and the whole process that I’m a part of now.’’

No matter who the Democratic candidate is, Clinton believes her party has a chance to recapture the White House even though polls show President George W. Bush with high popularity ratings.

"It’s hard right now. The atmosphere is so dominated by the administration for obvious reasons, but I do believe evidence and results actually do count for something, and eventually, the president will be held accountable for many of the decisions that he and his colleagues have made over the last several years,’’ Clinton said.

"The country pretty much is divided 50-50, so I think we actually have a good chance. I think that it will come down to turnout.’’

I think your scenario is plausible but I believe she is more likely to wait until 2008. Either way she could win and it is very scary that we live in a country where people are that dumb to vote her in.

Someone that I've been hearing lately who may run in 2008 for the Republicans is Jeb Bush. I think he would probably make a good president. He's got a good demeanor and seems honest. His brother George also has a good demeanor and is honest, but they definitely have different personalities/styles.

I just can't face a possible Hillary presidency right now so I'm going to think positive thoughts about George Bush for 2004 and Jeb Bush for 2008 or some other yet to be named good guy for 2008 and I'm going to pray like H-E-double chopsticks that the devil spawn will never make it back to the Whitehouse.

"Clinton said she is not thinking of a White House run at this time . . . Three years ago I didn’t even know I would be sitting here as a senator . . . The atmosphere is so dominated by the administration for obvious reasons, but I do believe evidence and results actually do count for something, and eventually, the president will be held accountable for many of the decisions that he and his colleagues have made over the last several years,’’ Clinton said."

This says it all. No, she wouldn't run because she's looking at 2008 where she doesn't have to worry about a 2nd term president. Further, oh yes she knew she would be the carpetbeggar senator from New York. She and her buddies planned that years before. And yes, her platform will be how the Repubs need to be held accountable in makng the economy fall apart, regardless if the economy is good or not. That was her hubby's platform even when the economy was going good. The Clintoons colluded with the media to keep hammering that the economy was bad during the campaign trail, even though the elder Bush kept saying there was nothing wrong with the economy. The general public kept hearing and reading how bad the economy was courtesy of the Clintoons. Elder Bush kept telling the people to look at the Clintoons character but that was conveniently ignored by the mainstream media. Day after the election in November 1992, reported in the press was the fact that the economy was not so bad after all. That theme continued until September/October 2000, when it was thought that the RATS might lose, the general media reports started coming through that maybe the economy is not looking so good.

Let's feel sorry for whatever she's with before she gets in bed.

Former first lady isn’t planning White House bid

Translation from Clintonspeak: The former first lady is not planning a White House bid, but her pre-campaighn staff most certainly is.

she says she doesn’t lie awake at night dreaming of becoming the first woman president.

Translation from Clintonspeak: She doesn’t lie awake at night dreaming of becoming the first woman president, in fact, she is fully asleep at night when she's dreaming of becoming the first woman president. And besides, most of the serious planning for her run for the presidency comes during the day, not at night anyway.

Clinton said she is not thinking of a White House run at this time

Translation from Clintonspeak: Although she is not thinking of a White House run at this time, a White House run at a later date is in the works, perhaps for 2004 or 2008, but certainly not in 2003.

So, everything she said was a true statement under Clinton perjury standards.

God do I hate this Machiavellian narcissistic troll.

On a positive note, some are now beginning to tell the Empress that she has no clothes. (scary image)

Ultra liberal Susan Estrich is saying Hillary will never be President due to being "the most divisive person in American politics."

Hillary responded by (a)ordering that Estrich's column be spiked, (b)printing a puff piece yesterday in the NY Times alleging that liberals are complaining that Hillary is too moderate (LOL). Needless to say, the Times just made this up.

Agree with your assessment. In reading the following:

"The country pretty much is divided 50-50, so I think we actually have a good chance. I think that it will come down to turnout."

I immediately thought suureee, your good chances are clearly calculated. Pay for votes, trash military ballots on and on. NYS is nothing but a welfare state so she's quaranteed that block, CA and NJ as well. Can't imagine she'd get flyover country but hey what's one more little challenge.

Hitlery probably has all the ballots printed and ready to go.
