If [MHGinTN] knew it was he, [he was] complicit in his escape if [he] took no action.

If Rudolph was in the habit of casually dropping into bars to use the public telephones, hundreds or possibly thousands of ordinary people were complicit in his escape.

Maybe Physicist can fetch his slide rule and start computing the dimensions of a Guantanamo-style terrorist prison camp for the country folk who didn't turn Rudolph in.

I have no sympathy for Rudolph; I believe he committed cold-blooded murder. But I do note with mild distaste the salivating joy and slathering zeal some posters are displaying which I believe betrays a covert disire to silence the pro-life side.

That is a leap the moderator has asked others not to make.

I had no idea who the guy was until I saw a TV picture of him (the one on the right above, the artist's rendering) a few days later. I have somewhat of a photgraphic memory and the photograph of him (on the left above) looked too little like the man I saw to register in my mind. The artist's rendering, however, is very close to what he looked like in that bar.

While the reponses have been interesting (to my query to Physicist), I will tell those interested in 'the rest of the story' that I called the Knowxville FBI office (# 1-865-544-0751) to report my 'possible sighting' and I was never contact 'directly' beyond that call. Mister Rudolph was worth one million dollars at that time, and I have posted before on the web that I would gladly turn him in--with his permission if he contacted me to do so--for the million to use in the pro-life information campaign. I've never been contacted by him, however.

BTW, I don't consider his killing (homicide) of the innocent security guard in B'ham, AL (at a clinic on the street where I'd made physican calls many times during my tenure as a pharmaceutical sales rep in B'ham) to be any different than the serial killers slaughtering innocent unborn children. Both behaviors are wrong ... killing begets more killing; killing innocents is not pro-life.

Bump....I'm gonna resist this thread.

He should not have killed innocents. I would like to see more evidence on the Atlanta bombing....I'm sure someone has it.

THey would not be complicit unless they reconized Rudolf.

If other ordinary citizens knew it was Rudolf and took no action, of course they were complicit in his escape as well.
