I merely assumed that you are fairly feminist quasi conservative lady and I'm a very non feminized hardcore right wing cro mag conservative who had tried to be amicable about it all. I would agree that most are lost causes, but have known a few who changed their minds. One 35 year old woman I know had 3 abortions. When I became aware that she was pregnant again I begged her to keep the baby. She and her husband decided to, and began preparing to have a family. In the middle of the 5th month her water broke and the baby arrived early. She watched as the EMTs tried to save her baby as it died right in front of her. She was so depressed I didn't know if she would make it. She told me it wasn't so much this baby, but the 3 others she had killed prior that tormented her. They had been further along than this one. She finally had another baby, and is a wonderful mother. This baby was born prematurely, and has some eye problems because of damage she had done to her body using abortion as birth control in the past.

I cannot possibly imagine how you have concluded I am "not anti-abortion", or a "feminist quasi conservative". I really cannot.

I just know that people's hearts and minds are often changed on this topic - usually not overnight, but over years - but rarely from bludgeoning by those on the pro-life side.

For example, I read the beating a woman (you posted to her, so I think you will know the thread I mean - your post was relatively kind, especially compared to the majority of them) took on another other thread last night. An on-the-fence observer might have concluded that the goal of the pro-life movement is to make a woman who has had an abortion hate herself.

That's not MY goal, and I don't want to be associated with it.

People here went so far as to suggest she prays to Satan (she's Jewish). It made me sick to watch.
