Foreign Aid Baffonery

US Foreign Aid to those that hate us:

TOPICS: Business/Economy; Constitution/Conservatism; Crime/Corruption; Culture/Society; Foreign Affairs; Government; Israel
KEYWORDS: foreignaid
Listed below are the actual voting records of various Arabic/Islamic States which are recorded in both the US State Department and United Nations' records:

Kuwait votes against the United States 67% of the time. Qatar votes against the United States 67% of the time. Morocco votes against the United States 70% of the time. United Arab Emirates votes against the U. S. 70% of the time. Jordan votes against the United States 71% of the time. Tunisia votes against the United States 71% of the time. Saudi Arabia votes against the United States 73% of the time. Yemen votes against the United States 74% of the time. Algeria votes against the United States 74% of the time. Oman votes against the United States 74% of the time. Sudan votes against the United States 75% of the time. Pakistan votes against the United States 75% of the time. Libya votes against the United States 76% of the time. Egypt votes against the United States 79% of the time. Lebanon votes against the United States 80% of the time. India votes against the United States 81% of the time. Syria votes against the United States 84% of the time. Mauritania votes against the United States 87% of the time.

US Foreign Aid to those that hate us:

Egypt, for example, after voting 79% of the time against the United States, still receives $2 billion annually in US Foreign Aid.

Jordan votes 71% against the United States and receives $192,814,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.

Pakistan votes 75% against the United States receives $6,721,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.

India votes 81% against the United States receives $143,699,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.

In the last year The Taliban terrorized the people of Afghanistan and gave safe haven to Osama Bin Laden, they received $143,000,000 in US Foreign Aid.

Sudan voted 75% against the United States and received $1,121,000 in US Foreign Aid. (The US State Department stated that the Sudanese government is guilty of providing a safe haven for a variety of terrorist groups including Osama Bin Laden's organization, The Egyptian Jihad, The Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and Hamas. The Islamic government has also conducted a literal reign of terror against the Christians living in the southern part of the country.)

The Palestinian Authority will receive $500 million dollars in US Foreign Aid over the next five years(!!!) This happened due to the Oslo"Agreement" of 1993.

The Palestinians were seen on ABC News openly celebrating and dancing in the streets at the news of both suicide bombings on Sept. 11th.

Israel, it must be noted, receives three billion in US Foreign Aid. However, for the last five years it has an average record of voting with the United States 94% of the time.

There is clearly no incentive for most countries to support the United States, as they will receive US Foreign Aid regardless of their stances.

Perhaps it is time for the United States to deny things such as money, scientific, technological, medical expertise, and education to nations who simply will not assist or protect American interests?

The State Department won't allow it, period.

"The State Department won't allow it, period."

No one has the authority to say no to the State Department? They neither report to nor answer to anyone? They can just take as much of our money as they please and spend it as they damn well please and we can't do anything about it?

Damn and double damn!!!!

Wise people say that the power in Washington rests with the bureaucrats who don't blow away with the changing political wind or the next election. The State Department is famous for harboring careerists who talk softly and suavely into the ear of the Secretary of State and while convincing him or her that they possess real statesmanship steer them into a course of doing nothing and risking nothing. I myself am convinced that Powell was convinced that he could go back to the UN for the second resolution by the Old Hands at State (who knew exactly what would happen).
And, is there any question that the Interior Department is rancid with Greenies that don't care who is in the White House?
This happens in every office in government- entrenched power.

That's about 5 Billion Dollars that go to non-allies. I think someone has some influence over the State Department. Doesn't Congress have to allocate and approve those funds? I think $5 Billion could be better spent going to some friends where we can be supported in our war against terrorism. How much do we give South Korea and Japan for example. We might need them to help deal with Norht Korea. How about the NEW European countries? Isn't Poland worthy of some big buks..... especially if we start moving our troops out of Germany and into Poland.

Seems our congress is alseep. We need a country by country aid tally , then we can email our senators and congressmen with approprite conncerns.

And why are we giving $2 billion to Egypt? They buy arms with it. And..... I guess it was partially for them to sign their peace accird with Israel. Even tough they have censured the USA and Israel consistently forever in the UN. *sigh*

Then it's time to clean house at State and put in people who will work for the sovereign good of the US and it's citizens.

Exactly. As a first step to abolishing foreign aid all together. Let the damn rest of the world fend for themselves.

... There may be an argument that development aid should not be (ab)used to blackmail/oppress sovereign states....
they´re in the UN to follow THEIR interests, not the interests of countries who give them aid.

France is aiding these countries too - what if they force to vote ´no´ and the US wanted a ´yes´?

If the feds dont give your money away, it may face (in the recent words of Clintoon) "mal-redistribution" and be allowed to be kept by the people who earned it in the first place.

The politicians in Washington who continue to take our money and give it to our enemies are TRUELY the Un-American segment of our population.

One additional thought,

As long as the USA has a "National debt"..................

Not a dime of the peoples' money should be "given" to any foreign country, Friend OR Foe.

Conclusion: The UN is a "protection" racket that has not benefited the American people.

Question: What would the UN-sanctioned gangsters do without their monthly U.S. gift stipend?

Solution: Let's suspend ALL aid "upon further review" and see what happens...

Beside all this foreign aid to our enemies and the Congessional Pork Barrel spending no wonder the Democrats dont want to lower taxes.
Teddy Kennedy needs another Billion for his Boston Transit system and Robert Byrd wants him a nuclear clock in West Virginia.
We need to clean Congress up.
