I dislike taxes, but I HATE TEACHERS UNIONS.
every time i hear the words teachers unions, i hear my fat bitch sister in law (a local teachers union president) nasty mean screeching voice and it feels like a rusty fork splitting a dozen or so of my vertabra with no anesthetic while having teeth yanked out with a tractor trailer.

I wish you had been with me while "debating" this on another thread. I was called all types of names by pro-teacher freepers. I am going to bookmark this thread just so
I can re-read your post whenever the "teachers are great" crowd gets me ticked off. How true it is.

I despise teachers unions and all public sector unions. They are scumball parasites who manipulate the hack politicians and the political process to get their way. To get outrageous wage and benefit packages while poor mouthing themselves. Many years ago it was strictly verboten for public employees to go on strike and agitate for their self interests. My, have times changed
I respect private sector unions since they know if they push too far the company goes broke and they're unemployed. And they don't thieve from the taxpayer as do 75% of public sector employees.

The quality of public school education is inversely proportionate to the growth of the NEA.

My wife is a school teacher and I personally do not like the NEA but she has to belong to it for the protection afforded over an attorney.
She also has to teach several courses in Elementary Education.
The NEA does not help with their salaries as one thinks but they take their dues and spend them on the Democrat Party to which we are opposed.
The average everyday American doesnt realize the way the political system works and how the legislators protect those who funnel campaign dollars to them.
There is an electric co-operative in my area and it gives political donations to the Democrats but none to other parties and I know all who are members are not Democrats.
There is a real need for election reform and term limits in this country. Politicians are nothing more than dictators and when it comes to looking out for the public their only interest is in their own a$$e$$ and their contributors.
Americas politics and governments have run amok and need reeling in.They all only know how to tax and add fees so they can spend with no accountability.
