Am I the only one who is sick and tired of the wall-to-wall coverage of this case?

It won't be long before the ever-sanctimonious John H K shows up to pontificate upon the reasons why NO ONE should visit such a plebeian thread.
ROFLMAO.
This is a thread about how sick people are of Scott Peterson threads. Why would I have a problem with people visiting it?
My main problem was three FR "BREAKING" threads a day with something like "FOX NEWS: SCOTT PETERSON FARTS IN PRE-TRIAL HEARING: REPORTEDLY VERY SMELLY" in all caps. And usually the same info would lead to 4-5 duplicate threads.
I'm actually a news junkie and a lot of people go to FR as a refuge from TV news, especially when it's wall to wall coverage of something you don't care about. And then during the day when I listen to the radio ABC radionews every half hour is leading with Peterson case news. And then we get to FR and it's now mirroring TV, which gets irritating. Just because FOX or CNN thinks something is "BREAKING" I don't see why FR should.

Extreme Engineering What channel?
To: annyokie
WAY past sick... and amazed how long the FR threads get before I even notice them
To: annyokie
Amazing! People on this thread obsessing about other people obsessing about Laci Peterson.
It really is a slow news cycle.
To: annyokie
I change the channel everytime they start talking about it. Can't seem to get away from it for long.
Today's big news was the duct tape wrapped around the dead fetus' neck....
Give me a break.

Yep, I'm watching. Low scoring game for these teams. The Spurs have made a concerted effort to slow down play.

I'm sick of the tabloidization of it, but am not sick of the case. This is a tragic double homocide, and on top of it, justice is still yet to be served and I'm still in shock that pro-abortion CA didn't quietly do away with that law making the murder of a pregnant woman with a viable fetus a double homocide.
I'm therefore very interested in this case.
But thoroughly sick of the 24/7 coverage. Then again, I thought the coverage seemed to have died down a little....finally??

A sampling of cable news @ 7:12 pdt.......

"...obsessive reading at FR while watching Extreme Machines, Extreme Engineering, Mail Call, Junkyard Wars, Monster Garage, and even a biography on Don Knotts."If you mix in some New Yankee Workshop, DIY Woodworks and Tales of the Gun that looks like my viewing schedule. Well, maybe not the Don Knotts bio.8^)
To: AngryJawa
Tales of the Gun (on the History Channel) is a great show, but they've been replaying the same segments for some time now. ...Time for some new ones.

Don't tell me you didn't catch Elizabeth Smart (Mormon abduction) case in Salt Lake City?Of course I did. But even that case had a California connection. She spent part of her time with her abductors in Lakeside, a town just east of here.
Yet ANOTHER California case.

Wow! Three Lacies, a neverending bloodfeud, and and an insufferable rapist. Ain't cable wonderful?
To: annyokie
If the Peterson's were not good looking and white, the image obssessed media would have dropped the story by now. It's cheap, easy news to fill air time.

I used to have Fox on all day and night. I have msnbc on right now because of the over the top coverage on Fox. Too graphic, too redundant, same old lame panelists. Barf.......Also too much overly excited talk. Yada Yada Yada! On the other networks, they are all over the story because If they do their usual anti Bush or hate Bush story, they get creamed in the ratings. LOL

You can count me in. I had enough several days ago. Try the
SOB and if found guilty, burn him. Otherwise let the smug
little bastard go.
