You are right. I took a shortcut when I said, "liberals who don't believe in personal responsibility."
I should have said "liberal politicians who don't act as though they have any belief in personal responsibility."
Some liberals are good-hearted and really want to help others to help themselves.
Other liberals are bossy and want to micromanage practically everyone.
Whether people in this last group do it because of a misguided sense of what is helpful or they do it because they are on a "power trip," they are throwing away time, money and resources that could be put to good use. Unfortunately this last group, the one with the bossy liberals, seems to be filled with people who gravitate to political office.
