I think the defense is banking on the hope that people will think Scott "isn't the type" or "isn't capable" of cutting up a dead body. If you're cold-blooded enough to kill your pregnant wife, you're pretty much capable of anything. Lots of murderers cut up the body in an effort to make hiding/disposing the body easier.

If it was in a fit the dumb*ss may not have realised by cutting up Laci, he may hit Connor, I don't think Conner was real to him. Or could the baby still have been alive or he feebly attempted to save Connor?

Yeah -- but the leaks say organs were cut out. I'm not saying Peterson isn't capable of that. I just don't know why he would do that -- unless he wanted to make it look like a cult murder.
