I'm not looking for a fight. My point is that if the "majority" of women were as regretful as you all say, abortion would be more rare than it is. That's all. Please spare me the lectures, the website referrals, etc. Oy.

That's all.,,, I should imagine having an abortion is a bit like getting VD. You don't shout about it from the rooftops. Here's Jane Russell, in the closing years of her life, admitting that she did the wrong thing. Now whether it's the wrong thing ethically or the wrong thing for her, taking into account the disappointment she faced by not being able to have kids later, who knows? The point is there is remarkably little upside for abortion. She could have brought the kid - and more into the world and enjoyed superb relationships with them and any number of other people they, in turn, could have brought into her life. Clearly, not for her.
By the way, I'm adopted. I missed the plastic garbage bag and got to show up on FR all these years later. Am I placed well enough to list my thoughts on this? Don't answer that particular question if you're not looking for a fight.

"Please spare me the lectures, the website referrals," the child, "etc. Oy."

Why so defensive with me?
Abortions have been becoming more uncommon, since women who had them began sharing their pain and regret with others. It just took a while for the word to get out to the general public, because the leftist propaganda machine frowns upon dissenting points of view.

Hildy, I "picket" an abortion clinic with a sign with the beautiful picture of a baby in the womb that was shown earlier on this thread that says "MOM, DAD, I WANT A CHOICE". You would not believe the horrible reactions that many women and men give me as they go by. They curse and say really mean and often lewd things to me. They tell me that my sign is the most horrible thing they have ever seen. They are often filled with anger and vileness. I believe it is because they do feel quilt but have hardened their hearts and have a deep seated anger. I am sure most of them would say "I don't feel any regret" but they are not able to see what it has done to them. I pray for them hoping God will soften their hearts and help them to see the truth about what they have done and know his love and willingness to forgive all of our sins.
