I, like many others, am the thankful product of an unplanned pregnancy. My amazing wife was born to a sixteen year-old unwed mother. I would like to commend my mother, my mother-in-law, and all the other brave women who have recognized that abortion is murder.

UNBORN PRAYER
Lord I pray this Sunday morn
for those souls that are not born
still a fetus in the womb
souls of love that you would groom
Keep them from mans every whim
whose abortion rates are grim
destroying those that you create
playing "God" with children's fate
They name it "choice" to soothe their guilt
dissolving that which you have built
to live and love in you abide
is ended in infanticide
Of all the sins that man has wrought
this is the worst one of the lot
Lord of this evil we repent
for killing of the innocent
Woe to those on judgment day
who stand before you when you say,
"I judge you not,but to these I give,
these souls that you denied to live,"
"Will judge you now at heavens gate
and hold the power of your fate
so hope their mercy will abound
for in you was no mercy found. "

I just can't reconcile the image of Jane Russell singing and dancing with the Jane Russell who willingly layed* down on a table and had a botched abortion. That's just too much for my little mind to handle. I wonder how many of those old-time Hollywood stars sang and danced and acted their way into our hearts, all the while hiding a dark cruel secret. I would prefer not to know.
I still haven't gotten over Katharine Hepburn having an affair with the married Spencer Tracy. What sordid lives some people live.
layed* - what's the correct word?

I don't care what they say about her past...This elderly woman doesn't like the merchants of death and their lame excuse of..."its a womans body and she can kill her unborn if she likes."

This woman's got real courage for telling her own chilling abortion story, and she's right on target when she says, the choice is between life and death.
Jane Russell is more movie star than Jane Fonda, Susan Sarandon, and (laugh) Janeane Garofalo combined.

Polly Bergen reported the same incident--a botched abortion at 19 led to her inability to have children later. Same thing happened to Ali McGraw, except her reproductive ability was kept intact and she had a son by Bob Evans in the late 60's. Both used their experience with illegal abortion for their pro-abortion views.
Supposedly, Lucille Ball had an out-of-wedlock son in New York during her high school years. Loretta Young had a daughter out-of-wedlock by Clark Gable, whom she "adopted".
Interesting to find out the "rest of the story" about Hollywood legends. How the spin differs from reality!

Too bad that no one can ask the poor, unfortunate unborn child that question. One wonders what the answer would be.

Russell says that due to the abortion she was not able to have any other children. Poetic justice.
Anchient chinese proverb: "may you get what you want".
I knew a woman who had an abortion, and the following year, her only (other) son was burned alive. Nothing is "free".
