Here, too, is an example of how history can be manipulated to abuse political opponents. Critics on the left, in opposing the invasion of Iraq, have been accused of supporting a dictator. This is nonsense, of course,ROFL! You worked SO hard to keep Saddam in power, yet you do not support him? You sent 3 Congressmen, and the mighty Sean Penn to Baghdad to procalim hhow he is more honest than our President, and yet you did not support him?!?!
but like many bits of propaganda that become lodged into day-to-day understanding through endless repetition on television and in newspapers, it is nevertheless a powerful nonsense.
You liberals understand this strategy all too well, for it is the only way you ever gain and keep political power. Powerful nonsense like banning guns saves lives and lessens crime. Powerful nonsense like railing against income tax rebates (going only to those who pay income taxes in the first place) as being "just for the rich"? Powerful nonsense like race relations are worse than ever (maybe you need to read a book or two about Jim Crow or slavery or the 60's race riots). Powerful nonsense like government control of health care will benefit people.
Thankfully, most of the nation is waking up and realizing how they have been duped. Tell me, how does it feel to lose 14% of the Senate, 24% of the House (a 102 seat shift!!), and the Oval Office... all in just 10 years? (8 of which featured your "greatest President" in office!) Please do share. I promise to provide plenty of schadenfreude. Oops! Am I too Hitlerian, now?

Not sure if this guy is a troll, or just trying to make a point. I asked if Reagan went through this same slander that Bush did.....
Of course, 'croakers' signed up 5/29/03.

The liberal description of the 80's and the Reagan Administration bears no resemblance to the truth, it's just been made up so they can deny the fact of one of America's great leaders.
Besides winning the Cold War, it was an era of high growth - better than under Clinton. BTW, during the Reagan administration we had tax cuts, declining interest rates, inflation declining to near zero - and large deficits. Just what the Dim deficit "hawks" claim can't happen.
