The Grand Jury is the sole province of the prosecutor. He presents his case and the jury either issues a "True Bill" or "No Bill". The person or persons that are the subject of the Grand Jury proceeding has no standing before it.

I'll wait before passing on the truth of what Geragos has put out for public consumption, though I must admit much of it sounds a more than a little bizaar. [sp?]

There is no story that she's agreed to a deal. Fox reported on the bit in the gossip coumn. But the gossip column is, well, gossip, and it doesn't even go so far as to say there is any actual offer, let alone that Amber was considering or had accepted it.

But you do realize that there a few frequent flyers here that want very much for this to be true; perhaps contrary to what they may claim. The worse Amber appears, the better they feel about themselves. It's sick, but not new.

Yes, if she's doing this, she needs to hold out for enough to make up for all those defamation cases she's going to lose b/c she has pretty much made it certain she'll be deemed a "public figure".

Someone whom a court deems a public figure, for the purposes of a defamation lawsuit, has a much lower chance of winning a lawsuit they file for their "loss of reputation" due to the published words of others.
