15 MILLION Chinese died during WWII? That's really interesting. I never knew that.And I don't believe the Chinese ever decisively beat the Japanese prior to Japan pulling out.

They did manage to push the Japanese out of the chinese coast, China proper, and Indochina, but by the end of WWII japan still held Manchuria.

The Japanese had a million men in their mainland Chinese armies when all combat ceased in 1945...so they didn't exactly pull out.
But...they would have left if they could have. They had no ships to take them to defend their home islands by that point in time. They were marooned on the Chinese mainland with few options.
