"Dang...I already got booted off their site once."

I've been banned from there several times. It doesn't take much.

Jesus was not gay. In the Essene gospels and dead sea scrolls he was married to Mary Magdalene and had several children before his crucifixion.

At whose wedding did Jesus turn water into wine?

After many weddings I am able to turn wine into water. No point, just an observation.

I actually go to get booted. The worst part is to have to respond to others 5 times before being allowed to start a thread...I can't think like a Dimocrat! It is pure torture for 5 minutes, and then a complete release when I finally get to post what I want. Ahhhh, I am such a child.

The grant came from the University of Queensland.

Gosh, I can't believe nobody else caught this essential bit of data :-)

Any positive slant and he would have been attacked for violating church and state. I think the Libs are silent on this one though.

The person(s) that paid the money were homosexual no doubt? That would account for the reason for such research.

Man I'm glad I won't be this guy come Judgment Day!

This is WAY over the line! No words can express how I feel. I just can't believe it. (/shaking head in amazement)

I've been willing to be tolerant of gays, but they keep pushing and folks like myself are going to start pushing back.

This is blasphemy and people used to be put to death for it.

Quite frankly, the guy's opinion of Jesus is stupid - which is my point of view. Since we are both entitled to our point of view - why is this even considered news ...??

I find it quite ironic that the same people who would celebrate Jesus' alleged....I'm not going to repeat it...were HORRIFIED when a few months ago someone had the gall to claim Hitler was gay!!! Gay fellas: If homosexuality is indeed natural, why are you so upset that Der Fuerher may have been one of you? You can't have just the gay guys as the good guys.

Along with being Biblically illiterate, this doofus has absolutely no concept the cultural context of Jesus' words and actions. To this day in the Near East, men call each other "beloved," hold hands, and even kiss as signs of fraternal affection, not as expressions of homosexual lust.

In one of the Father Brown stories, the priest-detective said something to the effect of, "Ah, the Bible -- a mirror for its readers! In it the Mormon sees multiple wives for believers, and the Christian Scientist finds out we have no arms or legs!"

Rollan McCleary

(and you though all gay men had great taste in clothing!)

Just ran a Google Search on this guy. There's some pretty hilarious stuff on his other activities...

Actually, I once saw a painting of "Famous Gay People" in history. Among all the obvious ones grouped in the picture(da Vinci, Socrates, etc.) there was a portrait of Nazi Brownshirt leader Ernst Rohm in full regalia. Rohm was a notorious flamer who recruited lovers out of the SA's ranks, and was Purged Enemy #1 in 1934's Night of the Long Knives.

If I'm not mistaken there was a book (and Several reviews of it) written in the 1960's on the same subject. Nothing new. A lot of "discust"sion at that time too.
