"Ick. Clay looks like KD Lang to me"

Precisely! I've been saying that since the Wild Card round! Though Clay is *better* looking.....

Nah, not Robbie. He may be an @$$, but he ain't gay. Now Jeff on the other hand? I did hear something recently that he was spotted entering a known homosexual watering hole. (not that there's anything wrong with that.) Too bad Brooke's not talking, Inquiring minds and all...

Seriesly though, with Clay, he's very animated when he speaks. Coupled with his southern accent, people raise their eyebrows. A lot of people think Michael Waltrip or Bill Elliott are gay based solely on the way they talk. BTW, Buffy Waltrip is a babe.

And my boyfriend also points out that there’s a definite subset of closeted Christian males in their 20s (having been one himself) who have so successfully repressed their sexuality that they don’t even know that they’re really gay.

All roads lead to gaydom for these people. I suppose if he had punched the guy in the snot-locker it would have been definite proof.

So, despite the fact that he is NOT gay, he may be and not know it?

Wouldn't that apply to ALL of us?

You know, when I watched an interview that Clay had with the Jaded Journalist (the recap guy for American Idol), it sure did seem as if Clay was accustomed to and very weary of the "gay" innuendo.

The Jaded Journalist asked what Clay was short for, Clayford, Claydeford, etc and Clay answered "yeah, yeah..Claytina.", with a mocking roll of the eyes.

He ignored the question because he's probably had to deal with it since grade school.

What did the comedian Gallagher say? There might be a woman trapped inside my body but I wouldn't know it because she's a lesbian?

Usually it's not a matter of Christians "pursuing" the lifestyle; it's a matter of the lifestyle pursuing them. As with all things classified as sin, it comes after you when you are most vulnerable; then it becomes an issue when you try to break away.

Having known more than one Christian who struggled/struggles with homosexuality, I find it particularly reprehensible that those who espouse homosexuality abuse those who are "unsure but uncomfortable". I have seen the fear that these men exhibit, not just of the reaction of the Christian community, but also the fear of the Gay community. If they have "fallen" even once, they may be blackmailed with the information later, by the very men who seduced them. Fundamentalist men of all stripes, Muslim, Christian, and Jew, are targeted many times BECAUSE of their open beliefs.

Lest we forget, the same can be said of all things called "sin" - whether it's an affair with the neighbor's wife, or a clandestine visit to a porn site, good men will make mistakes. But it is not the pleasure that keeps them trapped in "sin" - it is guilt and fear. The pleasure becomes a prison, and guilt and fear are the guards of that prison.

Love kills guilt and fear; Love sets us free...

You just cannot believe how many times things that Gallagher said in those shows pop into my mind! Every time we go see the grandchildren, my husband says, "It was a baby day."
