waste of time and political capital. Bush should expend some of that on Estrada and our economy.

I am not happy about it either. But it seems Bush has put his fate (and faith) in a Higher Power. God, please watch over and protect this man...

But it seems Bush has put his fate (and faith) in a Higher Power. If he were listening to God, would he be trying to destroy Israel?
Maybe he's just playing his part. Who knows.

Not happy here either, Howlin. Lasting peace in Israel will NOT be attained by mortal man. And I'm beginning to wonder if chasing an unattainable legacy over there, has some sort of narcotic effect on leaders. Clinton became obssessed with it. Sharon has done a radical about-face in search of it. Now Bush. If this administration plans all this as theatrics to appease the Arab street, they sure are going all out to sell the illusion.

Well maybe Bush needs to pick up his Bible and see what the "Word of God" says.
Sen. James M. Inhofe (R-OK) and his address on the Senate floor March of '02 summed it up. Sen. Inhofe stood courageously in the face of world opinion and presented seven powerful reasons why Israel is entitled to possess her covenant land.
His seventh reason was and is, by all accounts, the most important. Quoting Scripture, he said that Israel has a right to the land, and that we ought to support her in this, because God said so. This is not a political battle at all. he said. It is a contest over whether or not the Word of God is true.
The Bible is very clear that our loving and fair God will always warn His people before judgment comes. He has warned our nation many times since the Madrid peace talks in which your father was an active party and participant.
However, the Lord is preparing to lift His protection on our nation and against those other nations who are pressuring the nation of Israel to give up her land (Gods covenant land).
Allying with the enemies of Israel in a war against terrorism, in return for siding against Israel, is not only illogical and erroneous, but it will be a miserable failure. Most importantly, it will draw the Lords anger and wrath.
What is happening in the world, and especially in the Middle East these days, is truly remarkable. But then again, Bible believers should not be surprised, because the Old Testament prophet, Zechariah, pre-warned us about these times over 2,500 years ago:
On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves. (Zechariah 12:3 NIV)
On that day, I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem. (Zechariah 12:9 NIV)
The most important verse of all on Israel:
And I will make of thee [Israel] a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." (Genesis 12:2,3 KJV)

Once they are a state, you can declare war on them, though.

Tghe Road Map to peace will never happen, Arafat will not allow it. That POS lives for evil and peace is not an option. Both Sharon and Bush know this and all we are seeing here is the last length of rope given to Arafat and Abbas to hang themselves with.
I believe what we are seeing is a game of poker and Sharon and Bush are going to call Arafat and Abbas's hand. Arafat and Abbas can't deliver and I believe the two of them will be exiled or killed. Arafat is a terrorist and Bush has said so from day one.

The more of these middle eastern countries that get envolved in this Summit the better. More witnesses to the PLA lies and double speak. There is no way those finatics over there can stop their terrorist attacks and until they are either jailed or killed, nobody can stop those suicidal maniacs
